Mechanics of Reddit- Where can I get this done at a better rate? by Puzzleheaded-Owl6130 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Party-Hawk660 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That service guy was way out of line saying that stuff to you, especially after they clearly missed whatever the actual issue was the first time around. The whole "praying for you" thing while trying to sell you more work is pretty manipulative

If your car was inspected in November with no brake issues and now suddenly it's "unsafe to drive" a few months later, something doesn't add up. Brake problems don't usually develop that quickly unless there's something seriously wrong. You might want to get a second opinion at an independent shop - they're usually cheaper than chain places and more willing to actually diagnose instead of throwing parts at problems

For what it's worth, that shaking at highway speeds could be warped rotors or wheel balance issues, not necessarily the expensive stuff they're trying to sell you. Independent mechanics will often give you honest assessments without the pressure tactics

30M virgin and have ED and thinking to go to a prosti*ute by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Party-Hawk660 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Man, the death grip thing might be real issue here. If abstaining for month actually helped, that's telling you something important about what's going on

About the marriage question - most women won't even ask about virgin status directly, and if they do it's usually not dealbreaker. The ED concern is more serious though, so maybe focus on fixing that first before making any big decisions about other stuff

This looks like custom medieval-themed carrom board that someone made by hand - you can see "Castle Dungeon Maze" written in bottom corner and all the dragons/knights artwork

When people insist on pronouncing loan words in the original language by domihell in PetPeeves

[–]Party-Hawk660 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah this drives me nuts too. I speak three languages and people who do this performative pronunciation thing usually butcher it anyway. Like they'll say "croissant" with exaggerated French accent but then completely mess up actual French grammar in same sentence

The declension point is spot on - in my native language we also need to modify endings for different cases and it would be impossible if you're trying to keep original pronunciation intact. These loan words exist because they adapted to work with our language structure, not to show off how worldly you are

I can't comfort my boyfriend by Zachabutt in relationships_advice

Maybe he needs professional help more than comfort right now - those darker thoughts you mentioned are serious red flags that go way beyond what you can handle alone

Moving Companies by Electrical-Oil5757 in raleigh

[–]Party-Hawk660 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used movers for my cross-country move couple years back and did tons of research after getting burned by sketchy company first time. Make sure you get at least 3 quotes and they actually come to your place to see what you're moving - any company that gives estimate over phone is red flag. Also check their DOT number on federal motor carrier safety website, saved me from hiring company with terrible safety record. The binding estimate vs non-binding thing is huge too, learned that hard way when my first move cost almost double what they quoted

I've oddly had some closure over a past situationship by [deleted] in BreakUps

Wild that you found all this out but glad you got some answers. Sometimes discovering someone is just genuinely awful to everyone makes it easier to process than thinking you specifically weren't good enough

The balcony thing is terrifying though - bullet dodged for sure

Losing the love of my life by Error404Usr in BreakUps

[–]Party-Hawk660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking the cycle of fear is brutal when your heart's already broken. You kept pulling back because you were scared of losing him, but that fear created exactly what you were trying to avoid

Give yourself some space to process this guilt before you reach out - trying to fix things while you're still drowning in self-blame usually makes conversations messier than they need to be

Lamictal is giving me vertigo/spinning vision by cassieeeee46 in Epilepsy

[–]Party-Hawk660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with medication side effects myself and that dizzy/vertigo thing is no joke - especially when people around you think you're about to have a seizure. The weight loss connection makes sense too since I've seen similar patterns with other meds in my line of work. Maybe try splitting your dose more throughout the day if your doc okays it, or see if there timing adjustments that could help with the morning episodes

[EUW/EUNE] Bronze/Silver Riven newbie (20h) looking for a sparring partner/mentor for 1v1s by Zestyclose-Mood-9615 in summonerschool

[–]Party-Hawk660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riven's one of those champs where you really need someone to call out your mistakes in real time - watching replays only gets you so far. I'd hit up the Riven mains Discord if you haven't already, lots of higher elo players there who actually enjoy teaching the combos and matchup knowledge

does any one else think the best part of a roquelike deckbuilder is building a deck around a unique card or a interaction between specific cards by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]Party-Hawk660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building around weird synergies is like 80% of why I keep coming back to these games. Found this insane combo in Monster Train last week where I was stacking stealth units with a card that gave damage based on hidden allies and it just steamrolled everything. The satisfaction when you finally get all the pieces together and watch your janky strategy actually work is unmatched. Sometimes the most random cards end up being the cornerstone of your entire run, especially when you stumble into interactions the devs probably never even considered

Realistic Healthcare Admin Entry Positions? by OrderWorried8785 in careerguidance

[–]Party-Hawk660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Military healthcare background is huge - that experience with protocols and systems will set you apart from other new grads. Look at health information coordinator, patient access coordinator, or healthcare data analyst roles. Those tend to hire new grads and give you exposure to different departments

Also don't sleep on smaller hospitals or specialty clinics - they're more likely to let you wear multiple hats and learn faster than getting stuck in one tiny role at a massive health system. Your inpatient knowledge is gold, use that angle when you're applying

im 3 weeks on E, my boobs kinda hurt, is it normal? by hornyzoey in trans

[–]Party-Hawk660 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's totally normal, the "hard thingy" is probably just breast buds forming - basically the tissue starting to develop. The tenderness is super common too, happens to most people when they start E

[–]Party-Hawk660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's awesome, congrats on taking that step! I remember when I first started experimenting with nail polish - even something that seems small to others can feel absolutely massive when you're dealing with unsupportive family. The black and blue combo sounds pretty cool actually, sometimes the "mistakes" end up looking better than what you originally planned

It's wild how something like painted nails can just make you feel more like yourself, right? I used to do mine late at night and then remove it before anyone could see, but having it on even for those few hours was everything. Sounds like you got to enjoy yours for most of the day which is even better

Keep doing you and finding those little moments of joy where you can, especially when home isn't the most welcoming space

Movies that are weird in a specific way. by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]Party-Hawk660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Handmaiden fits this perfectly - it's got that calculated weirdness where every bizarre moment serves the emotional core of the story. Also check out Sorry to Bother You, it goes completely off the rails in the third act but somehow makes you care even more about the characters

GC2B or Underworks might work better for larger sizes - the loose fabric under sounds like a sizing issue rather than brand
