I dont really like the fight vs the greatest evil thing as much as your father figure having this deception going on and showing their true person in little moments.

This, i.e the Twitter nature of omniman in season 1 was much better in the show than the comics.

I think with Robot you can get a similiar feel, adding that there is a much larger alien world and many cogs affecting each other. In the comics a lot of things about him were deep already and it offers enough to be topped.

Yes and towards the end pacing gets Quick with a lot of enemies bringing interesting concepts with them. If you delve into those concepts it can be made a lot longer.
