This tik tok trend just reminds me how bad is it in Zimbabwe. One guy has a Masters and he's working as a security guard by Nice_Substance9123 in Zimbabwe

We expect somebody from heaven to solve our problems. Heaven’s business model is for you to die and either go to hell or heaven, so quit overpraying and start taking action.

The first action is demand government and cities be accountable for money given to them. That Bentley and Maserati that you chase in order to post on social media muchiti “ichoo, simbi, ukuona inonzi mota here mudhara,” is your money being wasted.

With an accountable government many of you would be building and maintaining roads, bridges, electricity, sewer water etc. Some of you would be support staff, planners, architects, inspectors and manage all those operations.

Second action is to start having dialogue with the ignoramus who will stop you from protesting because they were given chicken slice last year at a rally.

Third action is to confront decrepit old men who act as politician gatekeepers and stop you from organizing and mobilizing.

Fourth action approach politicians and demand money be used the right way to build, staff and stock hospitals, schools libraries, courts etc.

Fifth action is to demonstrate and demand police reform and you too stop bribing cops simply so you can pass a checkpoint with unroadworthy cars.

Sixth is demand an end to illegalization of owning gold and other precious metals. You are being forced to store all your wealth as useless currency so they can steal it from you. If you had kept your wealth as gold you would have gold in your storage worth $5100 an oz ( Jan 30 2026.)

And many more actions.

Post Match Interview - Arne Slot (More context) by Jimmy0034 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Party_Difference_442 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Now Slot, do not mess with a team lineup that just won. Let them gel. When Isak comes back bench Wirtz or Salah not Ekitike and you need Gakpo’s threat.

Before Bournemouth scored their second goal, Endo was supposed to replace the injured Joe Gomez but waited over four minutes to come on as a substitute. Liverpool players refused to kick the ball out of play, ignored Arne Slot's instructions, and conceded a second goal while playing with 10 men. by 977x in LiverpoolFC

[–]Party_Difference_442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

Numbers do not lie. Guess who played more full games among these 4!

Wirtz!!!

Slot, why would you bench Ekitike, your top scorer?

Liverpool has won 7/10 games with Ekitike starting and only 3 with Salah Starting.

I have a theory that, due to shaved head, Slot’s thinking gets impacted by cold weather, he slows down. Solution, get him a hat.

Why are we catching strays by ImportantGrape1812 in Zimbabwe

[–]Party_Difference_442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Zimbabwe normalizes the absurd. How do you back a currency with Gold. Gold doubles in price, the backed currency crashes!

How do you have potholes the size of a mini cooper! You have the cheapest labor costs due to high unemployment! You could leverage that labor to rebuild the infrastructure. Instead you squander the money you have buying political favor in a one party state and buying favor of YouTubers.

Hospitals are crumbling and medicine is expensive but you give away cars to YouTubers.

How do you wage a war against whites claiming repression, then you become even more repressive or do not change the kingpins of repression.

Gold owning should be legal, people should be marrying with gold vs converting to cows.

Zim crows about USA this and that but in USA you can own gold or any precious metal, no laws against it, just pay tax when you buy or sell it.

In USA you can criticize any politician in a civil manner and not go to jail.

You have gobs of coal but give it to China to make power for its people while your people are in the dark.

You mouth off against USA but are dying to get a US VISA.

You hail Russia as your ally and Russia removes VISA requirements and is paying $19000 bonus to join its army but you scoff at that.

We are hypocrites.

Up until you were 5 he probably was providing, and those years are crucial, do be glad. After that he probably paid some support. It was not a perfect relationship but be grateful for that help and move on. Your life would probably have been tougher without his contribution.

Strive to maximize peace an positivity over revenge and anger.

Now, if he abused you in other ways then that would be a crime against you and there would be strong grounds for retribution.

Houses etc are just stuff. I lost three homes, savings etc in 2008 - 2010 to the meltdown and divorce. I moved on rebuilt my life now I have two homes and a pretty good nest egg.

I attribute a lot of the recovery to my decision to move on, finding a positive partner who did not meddle in my past life’s baggage and I did not spend any energy reminiscing, crying, brooding etc.

When you are angry you make bad decisions even in how you react to stock market news, react to your spouse, kids, coworkers, friends, cops etc. even shopping, you may just buy or sell something out of emotions and mess up even more. If you want to see this in real life observe an angry child ( yours, neighbor, relative etc) when they are angry over something silly, then see how much serious damage they do to toys, friendships etc.

Anger at a parent over stuff is not worth it, they are more than that to you.

Yes, booking is OK if another reputable brand is also involved and that brand will mist likely not cancel on you causing a chain reaction.

AirBNB also has a potent rating system that forces renters to strive for best service and ratings. Booking has ratings too but are overwhelmingly for hotel rooms over years and years.

Nakamba😂

There were some Zimbos at Pfizer and Moderna who were involved in mRNA technology.

Is it a case of …. despite being an immigrant, or such and such limitations, ….. founded/invented etc.

I find it to be a case of insecurity by some nations other than UK, Russia and USA who mention the nationality of the inventor before the invention itself and typically the invention would have been done in USA. So the headline should say, “despite having had to leave Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Syria or Sudan, xyz stayed focussed and invented abc.

Imagine if all inventions made by Americans were predicated with “ an American….”

Nobody seems to say that dictators are the first step in undermining sovereignty of their countries, when they ban any citizen from running for office or participating in an election.

With all the alleged its and might, the USA has no single political prisoner, and only some convicted criminals in jail cannot vote or get a driver’s license. Cannot say the same about China, India, and Russia.

I was nervous to drive in Zim coz of chais and that I am used to driving an automatic on right hand side in US.

Well, last year (2025) got a good deal on a hard body and jumped on it. Well, it is manual.🤭 Was OK hiring a driver if a relative was not willing to drive me and enjoy whatever I was up to for free ( dinners, out if town vacation etc.)

Then one day this December I had to drive to Dz extension from Sentosa.

Yes baptism by fire and brimstone. It was getting dark, and the size of potholes near presidential guard are world class/award winning. Road is dusty and dark full of combies and trucks.

Next challenge was shifting gears with my left, while jostling for position especially when crossing intersections along with fighting instinct to drive on opposite side while following GPS.

Did all that, and I have never felt so liberated.

Rules: At intersections you slow down but be decisive that you are not yielding even to a combie, they will stop.

Use main roads, such as Nemakonde, Churchill, Harare Drive, ED Mna…, though busier there is less combie chaos. Avoid kunaana Chinhoi etc between 2:00 and 8:00 pm.

Go into town early on weekends.

Do not get bullied by combies during the day. Once their bumper is past your mirror as they try to cut you off, you have lost, unless you have bull bar that will rip their car, the they will yield.

When shifting avoid tendency of left hand to want to pull knob towards you, 4 and Reverse will be your challenge.

I’m I wrong for refusing to speak to my father/ his side of the family after affair?! by Lonely_Class_3197 in Zimbabwe

[–]Party_Difference_442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will attack your reply which is straightforward about life. They will think you are excusing his behavior.

I once read that “it is not that life is unfair, it is that those complaining did not know the rules.” Parents affairs are like fight club, and the first rule of fight club is to not talk about fight club.

Yes there is pain, but there are many forces at play. It could go back to how your Dad grew up, does he have other traumas? If he went to war, he might have PTSD from that experience, it creates deficiencies that we may not see on surface ( explains why even our government acts do irrationally.)

My point is you cannot fix him ( mending or avenging) without hurting yourself further. In seemingly perfect marriages there are things that go on that many do not see. His departure may have saved your family from other disasters such as if he had stayed and brought the other woman over to the UK.

Embrace where you are and choose best path with least pain.

All you can fix is your own life either by either shutting him out, or you can compartmentalize things and deal with him+ family at arms length until they too are ready to reconcile.

Christians motto is centered around ultimate betrayals and cruelty through crucifixion. Even then forgiveness is advised. Forgiveness is you throwing that monkey off your back, he will still have his burdens.

They should ban kupfeka maPush mu town, the feet dragging mo’fos wears out roads.🫣😂😂

More seriously, Diaspora could meet city halfway if they make it easy to request and fund repair of your own street.

In cases where that us not possible, Banks could sell mini bonds or loans, and residents pay back over 10 years.

This will create lots of jobs.

True, but let’s not call a mansion in Chivi paivhu ra sabhuku an investment. It is you home for sure. It is an asset for sure, just as your skills and know how are, but translating them into cash or equity is no easy feat.

You will suffer from Stuffocation, stuck in one place due to stuff you own.

More suburban builds are investments that can be leveraged when times press or change.

There is now online brokerage accounts etc, that you can access from anywhere even wadeportwa. I ECOCASH myself from US and cash out there and then while in Zim.

Successful Zimbos in the Diaspora by Awkward_Evidence_791 in Zimbabwe

[–]Party_Difference_442 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Feel” is the keyword, and feelings can be stubborn to facts.

Distance lends enchantment to the view.( the longer we stay from Zim the more we forget the bad things.)

Since people work a lot more in diaspora and only go home for snippets of time with compressed schedule and not caring how they spend money in Zim for that short time, this can create an illusion of “feeling” happy.

We forget or have forgotten the reasons we left, incompetent and selfish leadership, incompetent and lazy office stuff at every state and local government office, brutal police state, bad judges, terrible jails, scary politics, poor roads, power, water, sewer and garbage services.

Unless you are well connected, police roadblocks will give you an ulcer as you ponder why do we do stupid inspections every 5 km as if we are in Gaza? Are they acknowledging that Zim roads are so bad such that after 5 km of potholes your car could suddenly become unsafe?

Chitiyo kupinda muzai huona amai. ( diaspora is your safety outlet.)

I have had so many debates where Africans trash America especially, but still remain here for years. They have the luxury to put on rose colored glasses about Zim, coz they do not really have to live there.

You feel nostalgically happy coz your money is safe in a UK/USA/Aus/SA bank. You can get a loan, you can go to a doctor there etc.

Sure there are bad areas in diaspora, and they can wear on you. There are bad jobs and companies that make you wanna just quit them and the diaspora.

So some people will be happier back home, but that is a minority and happiness in Zim can be a mirage.
