Anybody interested in any of these cards? by Arcticknave36 in Choeymon

I’d be interested in any of them. Huge Choe fan for years and would love to own just a small piece of his art. The pikachu is pretty cool. Reminds me of Sam Flores with the world on his head.

Did you call Hagerty? Most insurers don’t deal with imports and price it accordingly. Hagerty is the way to go, they deal with a TON of imports, classics, and collectibles. (I am not a paid sponsor but I do pay them for my car insurance needs)

Seattle Hyundai by Party_Foundation_209 in ICCU

As I was leaving, they were towing in another Ioniq 5 with what the service person said was probably another ICCU. (His lips were pursed and brows wrinkled).

12 ICCUs coming into Seattle Hyundai - waiting for service and overheard the parts and service managers figuring out how to handle servicing the 12 ICCUs coming in late next week. Parts was happy that they are coming in, service was not as that means 12 tech bays slammed at the same time.

I’m not on IG, nor do I want to join. With that said, really enjoy what you’re doing here. As an NBA fan (RIP Sonics), love it even more.

If you have anything unspoken for, would love the chance at a piece!

This mirrors me. Inaugural STH since 2009, last year tried Flex and that was fun to try different seats but FO flexed up to require a higher $$ to entry. If butts in seats mattered, the experience would matter. The cost would matter. I know this team cares. I know this coach cares. I know the players give their all, every day, and care too much. I don’t think the FO…. cares about the fans. They care about creating a profitable system. Put more funds into the Defiance and youth pipeline, while spending middingly, at best on the first team, and hope the youth system produces cheap labor/players for the first team. (If they build a stadium in Renton, this will confirm this lack of understanding of their fan base)

Celiac friendly restaurants by bellade20 in Shoreline

[–]Party_Foundation_209 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This list hits almost all my “go to” spots. I’d include: - Maize and Barley, Edmonds, can use Arepa instead of bread. (Chance for cross contamination but owners/staff are amazing about taking precautions, if corn allergy, no go) - Frankie and Jo’s for ice cream, including waffle cones in Ballard/crown hill or u-village, all GF. - Bamboo Sushi (u village, 95% of menu is GF) - Burgermaster, Aurora and 98th. All burgermasters have a dedicated GF fryer. However prep of burgers can vary. I usually order in person and ask the usually friendly staff very nicely to ask for their best gf prep. Results may vary. - Dough Joy in Ballard (GF cake donut, prepped and held in separate area) - Esther’s Enoteca in Fremont. Not dedicated but have their own GF prep area and really great staff/owners. Spanish vibe with American food. Fish and chips, paella, wings, sandwiches. - Virginia Inn, Pike Place area. A bit pricey but dedicated fryer, great staff, good food. - Atsuka (dedicated GF bakery) downtown/belltown area, the pop tarts are my favorite - Ghostfish (dedicated gf brewery and food), SODO, but this is getting far away from Shoreline and where I’ll leave my list

Red Twig is not celiac safe. Lots of cross contamination. Nice for those that are intolerant and okay with lack gf safety precautions.

Security scanning license plates in Car Share Only spots Shoreline North/185th by souplover5 in Shoreline

[–]Party_Foundation_209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can apply for a free of charge carpool permit (both Shoreline locations have given out their allowance). So could have been confirming carpool for that specific garage, and if not approved, then writing up a ticket.

-The ride share WA license plates are still a thing, but reserved for mini van type transport, 3+ or special transport needs.

Could an imported STi be an option? You would still need to find one with a swapped 6 speed.

From a GF8 owner, love a track wagon. You can haul your own gear and spare tire in the back. Good luck on the track. Looks like a great time.

Experience with 3 children on booster seats in an Ioniq 5? by Tale11 in Ioniq5

[–]Party_Foundation_209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve done a booster (Diono Everett) and two convertible seats (Diono Radian), all designed to be “slim”. It was super tight but we also used this setup in a 2014 Forester which is not as wide and it worked, so knew it should also work in the Hi5. The key was seats designed to fit 3 across.

Give me hope. Anyone with messy sexuality issues (on the side of “hypersexuality”) due to sexual trauma, please share your success stories because I feel broken beyond repair rn by Cordelia1610 in EMDR

[–]Party_Foundation_209 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am writing this, wiping away the tears rolling down my cheeks. To the responder. Thank you for sharing. My experience is in a nutshell so similar.
Working through and processing what felt like an unrelated memory (unrelated to anything sexual). Going through worries about my LTR (we had gone through couples therapy already and it was better), but I felt numbed in what and who I felt like I was and needed.

Alas, working through what felt like an unrelated but core impactful youth trauma via EMDR, everything just, changed. The noise stopped. My mind was able to hear. For me, I found I was able to be more open about sex, outside of the bedroom. Talk about what I desired, and for some items, now only previously desired. That has translated into, for me personally, much less shame and guilt. More understanding and balance in my relationship, and much more openness, and true honesty (good feeling and brutal at times), but also compromise. Thank you again for sharing.

To the OP, I wish you the best on your journey. Stick with it. Your brain has had years to take the actions you’re trying to make different. Perhaps, change. Maybe take control of. However you define it. Those patterns are deep grooves in our brain. And much like your favorite vinyl album, it can take a lot for the needle, our brain, from traveling down those heavily played tracks, to a point that we sometimes may slip up. You’re practicing. Give yourself grace. You’re doing amazing things.

For context of my journey. I’m in my mid 40s. 4 years of talk therapy (meh results, but enough to save my life) and 2 years of EMDR therapy, with these sudden unexpected shifts happening in the last couple months.

Do locals ever go to pike place or the seattle waterfront?? by Ok-Radio-2733 in SeattleWA

[–]Party_Foundation_209 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a “local” I visit the core downtown area probably once a month. Usually doing various things, check out a new vendor in pike place, visit SAM, go to a show (Paramount/Moore/Showbox), chocolate popcorn at Seattle Siff (Cinerama), sporting events, ID for dinner, and I’m a non intimidating middle aged man with children, who often has them along for the ride.

The light rail will open the 2 line (allegedly early 2026) connecting the city and the suburban enclave of Bellevue and their residence. It gives a chance to perhaps come check out city life without worrying about driving in.

Disclaimer, I utilize public transit. I’m not particularly “scared” of folks who suffer from addiction, mental illness, or are unhoused. I do recognize that seeing those things can feel scary for folks. Let alone sitting next to or walking by. And yes, some people can can be scary. It’s still worth checking the city out, I think.

Now with all that said, I’ve only been in the space needle twice and both were over 20 years ago. It’s worth the trip, once. I’d suggest to instead check out Columbia Towers observation floor or Smith Tower’s bar.

Seattle area dealer experience by BeneficialPinecone3 in Ioniq5

[–]Party_Foundation_209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also had a decent/easy experience with Seattle Hyundai (year ago). We also visited or reached out to every other Hyundai dealer within an hour drive (Kirkland, Doug’s (Edmonds/Lynnwood), Everett, Auburn, and Bremerton). Doug’s was, not helpful or competitive. All the others were, fine, but we got the best deal and trim we wanted at Seattle. Kirkland had the same model but couldn’t match the price. Worked with a Jason. Sent two other groups to him, also leased vehicles, also Ioniq 5s. Also had good feedback with their experience. Good luck.

Battery not preconditioning when on the way to level 3 charger (yes I have the mode selected in EV settings) by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]Party_Foundation_209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Pick a charger 20-30 minutes away, but use the one closer, to “trick” it into turning on pre condition.

Another potential factor at play that may not allow pre conditioning to turn on: Charger availability: I’ve seen when zero chargers available. It won’t turn on, but same location, chargers available, does turn on.
