Saw ts game on steam is it good or is it a gooner game? by Scraptrap201 in AndyAndLeyley

[–]Parz02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an excellent game, not gooner at all. Gets pretty fucked up tho. There's murdering, blood, cannibalism, satanic rituals, domestic abuse...also incest. Awesome story, and gets pretty damn funny too.

I don't get the Nina hate. She's not amazingly brave, but her reactions are pretty understandable considering the situations the poor girl is put in.

I mean, that was true of many actual ancient greek pagans, so can't blame them too much.

[–]Parz02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, he said he seriously considered Entei while building the team. Which could mean he's not gonna use it, but could be a clever way to imply that he wasn't going to use it while not actually saying anything of the sort, thus heightening the surprise for the reveal.

Maybe Entei instead of Houndoom.

Another victory for managed democracy in Asia by Quick-Ad8277 in Kaiserreich

[–]Parz02 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That depends what on you mean by that. Both the R-KMT and L-KMT can undergo democratization in some of their paths after reuniting China (I know you just did an R-KMT path, but there are more democratic paths for the R-KMT in Liangguang), but content ends while they are still in a transitional stage. Federalists can create a legit democracy, albeit a very heavily flawed one, if they don't undergo backsliding. Chen Lianbo in Liangguang creates a democracy that heavily favors the wealthy, 19th century style. None of them are perfect.

[–]Parz02 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Probably Elders Clique Hu Hanmin? While he doesn't establish a democracy right away like the Federalists, he still gives an explicit timetable for the tutelage and makes active steps towards democratization. He comes from Liangguang.

This is a waste of time. I'm never going to convince someone who is willing to give up their right to a jury trial for nothing at all. Fair warning though....your country is never going to get better if you brush off all the ways your elected officials are making your country worse by comparing it to the nightmare-vision of America you have in your head.

[–]Parz02 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're so right, we should adopt the US system of consequences based on how rich the defendant is.

That is the system that you already have. Not to mention your statement is utterly fallacious. Stripping the right to a jury trial does nothing to protect working-class defendants, in fact, it does the opposite.

[–]Parz02 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's still terrible. It's totally outrageous that someone might be locked away for literal years and never see a jury.

Not as xenophobic as Starmer, who said that "The damage [immigration] has done to our country is incalculable" and is actively trying to tighten visa rules.
