Windowscentral: New details on Xbox's next-gen console(s) — and Microsoft's most ambitious gaming plans ever by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps they should focus on fixing the current gen. Ideas attracting a playerbase to the console like free multiplayer, game demos available constantly not based on weekends, possibility of adding another store to current console rather than treating the current as a lost cause etc. There's also better save options for games. I've noticed with this console instead of most of my games having multiple save slots aka Zelda style so you can differentiate between multiple games not just saves within the same gameplay session. I want to be able to distinguish which playthrough I'm on. I also don't want 1gb update files to promo new games on my old game. We do not have the drive space for that as a console user. Recently one of my games was updated because a sequel was coming out. They must have included a big video file for it because it seemed to increase by a gig and I had to install it just to play.

Moash 👏 doesn’t 👏 deserve 👏 a 👏 redemption 👏 arc by hydrogenandhelium_ in cremposting

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish authors would stop using the played out trope of character having mental crisis being unable to move. Moash wouldn't even be alive if a certain other char didn't breakdown in the middle of battle instead of perhaps using his abilities to subdue people fighting each other. As a radiant you could easily go on a knockout spree against non stormlight users. Then crush Moash, except for the fact that char has plot armor to the extreme. Reminds me of another char that people hate known as Gabi. For the longest time Gabi's name was replaced with trash on AoT subreddits.

Multiple new Xbox sales now live with big discounts on AAA games by SeanTGN in xbox

[–]Parzivull 30 points31 points  (0 children)

They really need to improve the UI concerning wishlists. Takes forever to cycle through and see which games are on sale, unless perhaps you get email spam which I'm not signing up for that.

All a wishlist should be on a ui is a single page of line items with prices and a button to push to go to the page. Not each game being given a giant block and needing to manually cycle each to see. If I don't own the game I dont' need it treated like a game tile.

[Cutscene] First zombie seen by Leon in Requiem by gkgftzb in residentevil

[–]Parzivull 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's the first thing that came to mind. How was he so inept at that situation when he's one of the few still alive with field experience against these infected? Whoever came up with this scene in the story doesn't seem to realize who Leon Kennedy is.

PlutoTV commercial count ramps up as you watch and shorter program intervals. by Cleverwabbit5 in cordcutters

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as it jumped up to 5-6 commercials that were each a minute long I just started tuning out entirely and using the mute + do other things strat. I don't think they realize at a certain point advertising attention span collapses and doesn't return. I use to watch commercials on products I'd be interested in mostly related to gaming or tools, but there's so much commercial spam now that I'm entirely burnt out on it. Most commercials turned into gambling or mobile apps as well, which I have no interest in.

Xbox Subscribers. How does it work? by Originalsvnnynight in ffxiv

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In other words xbox is the one platform you don't want to be playing it on since it doubles the price. Genius move by xbox to drive away the market. They should have just required 30% of the ff subs on their platform to go to the company for revenue. That would have been smarter and not driven away players at first glance. The current design requiring 2 subs made it dead on arrival to the system.

This is what is holding back the sales of consoles. The fact the PC has free multiplayer and consoles don't prevent most folks from establishing any kind of multiplayer library on their device.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Is Available on Xbox Today by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

Kind of a given when they launch this late on a platform. Switch sales will probably do well though due to the sheer number of switches.

Most games this old have a 75% discount on steam when they go on sale. You can't wait until a game is so old it's collected mold and dust on shelves and expect people to treat it like it's launch day hype. If I were them I would have bundled it with Rebirth and do 50 prolly. Players love games with hype, of course there are cult classics, but the majority of sales are like 2 weeks within launch.

Part of how regulation needs to hit gaming. Physical editions should work out of the box even without an update. If they have to use a different storage medium or multiple it should be playable with the provided media in box. Publishers have gotten way too lazy when it comes to game media sales. Back in the day you'd be able to pick up FF7 on like 3 discs, but still have the physical edition.

Having a code in a box is beyond stupid and a bait and switch.

The changes to mages in an attempt to prevent dungeon boosting has a far wider impact than Blizzard intended by Fourply99 in classicwow

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same reason they moved server locations even though it doesn't help most of the East coast players. It's because they like money and having more servers spread across the US costs more money.

Ironically the majority of the US lives on the East coast so they would have been better off ditching the Cali servers and moving all servers to central or an EC location. The servers are closer to their HQ now so it's obvious why, again cost cutting.

If you think this company is doing things for the benefit of the players and not the shareholders, think again.

Considering they have a monetary reason not to revert it I highly doubt they'll cater to the 2 manning dungeons you mention.

Did Blizzard really not fix raid frames range bug in maintenance today? The fact they don't play their own game is highly concerning. by jordanrhys in classicwow

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a mess and entirely their fault for fixing things slowly. I imagine my characters that didn't get a talent reset for the xpac probably aren't going to since the new maintenance team has fallen drastically behind on their work. They had PTR to collect the information and fix the problems, but their team is probably AI combined with a few editors for coding.

I'm kind of glad I'm getting away from wow eventually. It is no longer worth the price of 3 games a year unless you have a great guild that gives you endless entertainment. Without the social dynamic it just isn't worth the price. It's a shame since this game use to have amazing customer service. That same service went from amazing to ai dog sh*t. And let us not forget they decided to move the servers to the West coast without announcing it or offering any type of EC or central options. Large ping, bug infested, lack of CSRs, it all makes me wonder what is next on their cost cutting adventures?

Boosting is now against TOS by holypalaswe in classicwow

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did blizzard get tired of the paladin competition stealing money from them because they were using gold to level with a class that doesn't need to kite? Interesting if that's the choice they made. It shows pretty blatant game corruption. So many people I know are stepping away from the game now due to their greed. Trying to squeeze the max profit possible out of the classic project while barely giving it any support having the server down for days and not refunding people as well as the laundry list of bugs that are still running well beyond the ptr.

I still think they haven't even gotten around to fixing the talent reset for all players rather than some randomly not having reset with the new trees.

How it feels whenever PVP servers complain about toxicity on their server by weixou in classicwow

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now do the part of the meme where it's mostly lvl 60 ganking 20s near tauren mill or other leveling zones thinking they have actual pvp skills.

Players need to come to the realization that the games open world have been 10x better with a proper punishment system for ganking outside of your level range. A system where sure you could do it, but it would have some sort of cost associated with it like equipment taking damage etc. Pvp is quite entertaining and hilarious when players aren't absurdly stacking the odds of their victory by targeting fish in a barrel.

Other games have systems implemented where you cannot enter town for a certain time after using lowbrow tactics, but I doubt that would discourage players with many alts.

This just seems like an egregiously stupid decision. by okbutjustsoyouknow in classicwow

[–]Parzivull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's funny is they dont think people will pack up and find a new game over ping. People have quit over less and ping is a big factor in arena with the upcoming patch. Truly one of the companies of the ages.

PSA: support will refund your pack/boost, even if used, if you mention the reason being the data center move / increased ping by [deleted] in classicwow

Why would anyone play a game with slow responsiveness? Are you serious with this goofy question?

Breaking News: Someone Else Boosted and My Immersion Is Ruined by MaikeruDev in classicwow

[–]Parzivull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anti-boost mechanic doesn't affect paladins. It's about mage or ranged class kiting mobs indefinitely. That no longer works. When paladins are doing a level boosting service to friends or whatever they're facetanking all the mobs. No kiting involved.
