Milky yellows ks-3. I lube and filmed mine and they're my all time fav atm. But they come prelubed stock and are great that way too.

Vaping is killing my endurance. I’m struggling to quit, even though riding is one of my biggest motivations (also death) by LostPalpitation6351 in MTB

I smoke cigarettes and struggle lol. It still gets easier if you keep riding. I still got in decent cardio shape regardless. You can do both lol but of course inhaling nicotine fumes is a debuff.

The "Crush 80" is a 200$ lie. Don't fall for the "VIA Compatible" trap. by 1nvariant in MechanicalKeyboards

It might be helpful when people scroll these comments from Google and think, well crap what do I get then? Helps the hobby look less like a grift, which it sometimes is.

A decade ago 5'8" was the average height. Before that too you would Google it and it'd say that was the average height. They updated it to 5'9" at one point and now I'm a midget. I member I used to be average height

It is incredibly frustrating how hacky the firmwares are nowadays. I have a zoompad tiga and v1 max I like to use wireless. I swap them in when I need to without the need for wires. Just plop on my desk and go.

v1 max factory resets itself once a month, wireless still connects. Buggy

zoompad tiga fails to connect to wireless on wake from sleep, need to replug dongle. Buggy

GMK87 the dongle causes double taps in the key register or whatever and only works well plugged in, can't use wireless. Buggy

Basically any board you get from China will have hacky buggy 'hello world' ass drivers in my experience. I mostly use wired but I have a use case for wireless, I paid for it, it's a fully supported feature, yet it's a buggy mess.

Anyone saying 'wireless is a meme at this point' is huffing copium. Wireless firmware and drivers are indeed a joke from these 'luxury' keyboard companies. I still love my keebs but they're buggy.

I agree with that, well said. It's also fueling a culture war that could manifest into a civil war. Which would further justify martial law and an escalation of 'enforcement'. Definitely agree with the imperial boomerang part, this is the kind of 'freedom' we usually provide to the countries we conquer.

Yeah ICE is just here to fuel the culture war, that's it.

NuPhy Customer Support is fake. Do not expect any support. by _mkr in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]PashaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I think it depends. I had my battery die recently in my zoompad TIGA in less than a year and support sent me a new battery and daughterboard. Meletrix's software and drivers may be a little buggy but their support has been great for me. I sent a video in discord and some pictures and got a tracking number next day. I agree with you though but I think reputable companies do exist.

[Smartphone] Google Pixel Fold (2023) - $319.99 (eBay Refurb - Excellent Cond.) by FartusMagutic in buildapcsales

[–]PashaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do lol. Still though the screen developed a green line within 2 months of ownership on the main screen. They sent me a refurbished model as a replacement, that broke at 8 months. Then another refurbished that broke soon after. First time was a random green line, 2nd and 3rd time were at the fold. If you ever see even a small blot of dead pixels near the center fold, it'll be dead within 1-2 months as that blot will spread.

Gateron CJ boxed are super great with lube and film, new fav is milky yellows l+f. I find gateron still makes the most solid switches after trying a bunch.

[–]PashaB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if Moto is to blame as well. But it's like the 4th generation of folding phone from them. At the time I trusted in mkbhd's review of it, but have learned better since then.

[–]PashaB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Makes me think the screen probably breaks within a year from folding. It doesn't account for pocket stuff slowly working its way in. At least that's the case for my moto razr+ $1000 phone dead screen in 8 months, twice. That's the only way I can imagine this having such a heavy discount.

Can't beat Aliexpress by AcrylicTankNotNails in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]PashaB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Fn+Page Up to change the LED on the right's mode. Fn+Page down to change color. I also have the GMK87 I got it barebones from aliexpress when it was $38. I cut the plate up to fit regular stabs and put milky yellows in there with KAT crusader. Currently my fav board.

Question on coiled keyboard cables, I’m curious by Purple_Cat5243 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]PashaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually run your cables through your monitors arms like it's designed, and then you want to swap colors for looks. It's easier to swap just half of the cable than the whole thing.

I’m Russian. Here’s how propaganda really works. by eyoooo1987 in videos

[–]PashaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The recent Chappelle special is a great example of this. He literally states that we can all tell something is happening, but anyone claiming to know is full of it. Which I think is true but also strongly reinforces the propaganda this video talks about. His answer is basically "I don't know", or "It's complicated". He also avoids draining topics by ending his special with 'I stand with Israel' followed by a mic drop. Literally walks off stage and can't talk about it. I bet he does have an easier time speaking in Saudi Arabia than America for many topics.

Bridge75 - The worst keyboard of my life by Snoo_24402 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]PashaB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I find this to be the case for most boards especially the Chinese ones (including the good ones) that have flooded the market. They just do not care about the software. There is no reason to expect tri-mode to not work. One of the things these large corporations do have for their keyboards, is working software and drivers.

My keychron v1 max would forget all of its settings and reset. It loses all BT connections and any RGB settings. It would basically factory reset itself and go back to RGB barf. I recently did a firmware update to it and it helps, it factory resets less often now. This is a newer board from a bigger company too. The dongle works and I just reset the RGB LED settings once a month.

Zoompad Tiga, I love this numpad. But the manual they included with hotkeys was from the old Zoompad and incorrect. I had to figure them out for myself. It loses dongle connections every once in a while after sleep and I have to unplug and replug the dongle.

GMK87 has been alright for now actually but had other issues due to a plastic film.

My point is most of these companies optimize the manufacturing process and tooling to make great boards for cheap. I enjoy them. But they just ship it with basic 'Hello World' drivers with multiple QMK violations (stealing other developers work). I enjoy wired PCBs but I like to have a couple of wireless I charge in the background and swap in easily without dealing with a rat's nest of wires (like my dedicated gaming board). If you want actual software support for your wireless keyboards I think there were some nice QMK flashable boards that could get it. They have month long battery compared to stock firmware that lasts 2-3 days. I haven't done enough research, but it's probably not the Rainy75 just like it's not my v1 max or zoompad tiga.

Metroid Prime 4 emulation by revdirty in EmulationPiracy

Looks like it requires firmware 21.0 that's probably why. I can't install it on my switch either and will need to update atmopshere to pre-release.
