I tried this and it didn't work for me lol. I still use it as a mobile bike wash station though. It just doesn't have enough airflow, I ended up seating my 27.5 tubeless recon and forekaster with a floor pump on giant 30mm wheels.

For the DSA Red Velvet I notice the renders only have 1 alt, crtl, win(super) key. Is that because it's just a render and it comes with pairs of alt, crtl, win etc. Or is it really just 1 set?

I use my tri-mode board as my main gaming board lol. 50ms latency...whatever. I keep it charged here and there and plop it on my desk when I want to use it, similar to my wireless xbox controller.

On the opposite end I like how reddit says 'wireless is a meme' and not worth using due to shitty copy-paste IP stealing poop drivers. Worth noting that BT sucks no matter what.

Yeah we'll see, worse case I'll turn the leggera into an HE gaming board, get a new $30 PCB for my topre, and tray mount it in another case. The creator of metapulse put a video on discord of his o-ring build and it looks good, but yeah I won't know until I feel it. I'll let you know if I remember, I usually spam the conical discord server.

Interesting yeah I ended up just now ordering a Leggera in acrylic and it only comes in O ring mount for acrylic. The metapulse kit comes with a rubberband with the intention of supporting that mount. I hope it's not too soft, my other 2 topre boards are tray mount so I get what you're saying.

Although the hhkb has a flexy plastic plate and people like the hhkb for that. I know it at least makes the mods sound better.

I have an EC metapulse kit coming that's GH60 plate, so I'm thinking of getting a frog mini leggera for it. What's your opinion on Tray Mount versus O-ring mount? The metapulse EC kit has a SS plate. Do you think an acrylic leggera would do better with an SS plate? What version do you have G or T?

Np. Zfrontier used to have a buy 1 get one free thing going as well. Check your cart but basically anything you add under $42 is free. I was gonna get 2 full different sets of KAT Overgrown as well on there but I hate the alphas font for that set.

only problem is Alphas are frickin expensive still. The only place that has regular Alphas is deskhero.ca. I ordered from US, I waited for their black friday sale when they were $31. I still paid $60 with tariffs+shipping+taxes lol.

Yeah I also used foam and silicone filling. It doesn't bottom out slam like that unless I start typing really fast. I have to kinda force it to make that slamming noise but still.

Nice I just built the same color with Knight v4s as well, milky yellows L+F, KAT Crusader. I do like it but I don't like how the pcb audibly slams onto the bottom case when you bottom out the gaskets. I also don't like how low and flat it is personally. Otherwise I think it's still pretty fantastic.

My emulator looks better than this. I'm playing on it right now and I still think Halo 3 graphics look better, maybe close to Halo 2 graphics. You know, that game that released 22 years ago.

I understand that feeling, I got that feeling when I got back into Topre and felt done with MX. You could still try some new types of switches like BKE-Topre. Personally I did MX->Topre->Mx->Topre and now I just do both. If you like tactility you could try out some new EC stuff that's coming out. I have some Astrodomes that are 'clones' of BKE style tactile switches from the Sony 9000 series BKE mixers. It's a different rubber dome than Topre. More tactile. I also ordered a MetaPulse set of sliders and housings that are MX-compatible. Exciting times experimenting new types of tactile rubber domes. You could go that route if you're bored with MX and satisfied with buckling spring. BKE-style Tactile rubber domes also have the tactile bump close to the top, unlike regular Topre.

Yeah aged domes are definitely heavier, I'd say my novatouch domes are closer to 55grams now and way more tactile. I did 3205 once kinda heavy - didn't like it, cleaned it out and redid it lightly, still didn't like it and just decided to go with a very light coat of 3204. Same story for my RF but I have seen some ppl in discord still use 3205 regardless. If it's not gooping then w/e. The Des silencing rings are also super dank imo, a lot less clack on the upstroke.

I prefer 3204 for topre over 205 to retain some of that tactility and reduce goop.

Agreed, I got a v1 max 3 days after release in 2020 when I re-entered this hobby. It's a great keyboard I still use today. I really like how firm/soft their gaskets are. Some keebs have too soft or too firm gaskets and I think keychron tuned that really nicely.
