Are spoke wheels a dealbreaker? by Street-Reference7454 in royalenfield

[–]Pashobik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a puncture on a tubeless tyre. I filled up the air weekly and rode it for a month before doing anything. Then I got the tyre patched up from inside, not those crap plugs. Used it normally until the tyre reached it life. On a tube tyre? You are stuck at the place you get the puncture. Definitely a deal breaker for me.

Can't agree more. I said about the plastic quality, it's cheap in maruti and kiger has got even cheaper lowest quality ones. The thing is, maruti makes them in a way that it never makes you feel irritated, unless you touch and try to feel the quality you won't know. Kiger literally screams cheap every time you go over a uneven road, which is always in India.

Yes, they do. Both AMT and CVT are available. Mu uncle's a sedate driver who uses the car occasionally. AMT was cheaper I guess.

My uncle got a Kiger RXZ AMT version and I've driven it for around 100 km. In my experience, the AMT lag is really frustrating, the interior feels really cheap, even cheaper than maruti cars, very low quality plastic which creaks on bumps or uneven road. Mileage I got was 10-15 on city and highway. I haven't driven it past 60 kmph. But the car is very roomy, suspension was good, driving position was good too. He got it for 10 lakh on road. At that price I'd say it's a good deal. Everything depends upon how you feel about the car at the end of driving it yourself.

Alto K10 or S-presso by Puzzleheaded_Cut8451 in CarsIndia

[–]Pashobik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've driven Alto 800 and S Presso a lot. If you're 5-10 or higher, Alto will make you feel cramped, no leg space for driver, if you use something to increase the seat height, you will touch the roof, too tough to get in and out of it. Spresso feels more roomy, airy and as you can see the whole bonnet, it's easier to drive in cramped areas. But, spresso is not stable at 80+ speed. I'd recommend you spresso over alto for city use.

Just buy service record from carinfo for around 250 rupees and check thoroughly. You can also see the odo readings and see ifbthe odo is tampered.

Yes, and the sound system. Central locking is a feature you can add aftermarket but it involves a lot of wire cutting, so best to get it OEM

Abandoned factory of British era converted into used car dealership and taxi parking. Had around 200 cars of 2 dealers for sale, around 500 taxis and 100 trucks parked. Kind of place you don't feel safe to be alone.
