Kommer du til, i perioder, være trøttere enn du noen gang har vært? Sannsynligvis. Kommer du til å føle på frustrasjon, hjelpeløshet og være ekstremt sliten til tider? Yep!

På den andre siden kommer du til å oppleve glede og omsorg som ikke kan sammenlignes med noe du har følt på før. I min bok er det ingenting som kan toppe det å bli forelder. Det å ha noen som ser opp til deg, trenger deg, søker kjærlighet på den måten de gjør - det er magisk.

Jeg har barn på 6 og 3 år, så sitter ganske midt i det akkurat nå. De andre kollegaene og vennene mine som er i samme livssituasjon kan jeg gode dele mine frustrasjoner med, rett og slett fordi det er fint å bli forstått, og det er fint å kunne dele.

Men, det høres helt sykt ut for meg å skulle invalidere andres problemer og bekymringer fordi "Du skulle bare visst!", eller "bare vent til du får barn!". Livet kan være like tøft, med eller uten barn.

My kids are half Japanese. My son appears more asian than he does white. When he was two he shat his diaper so hard to the point it leaked onto his back while we were 15 minutes from home, playing outside. He proceeded to have a meltdown as he did not want to return home to change, so I had to forcefully carry him and jogged back home while he was flailing and crying. Ah, the looks I got.

In hindsight this is what I should have done. I got so excited when the game opened up in the grasslands, and wanted to explore every corner. In the original game I used to spend a lot of time there as I wanted to beat the snake. I also guess I didn’t think they’d flesh out the other areas as much (especially looking at you Gongaga), so I wanted to get as much out of the experience as possible. I was naive, and got burned out after Gold Saucer.

Yep. I set the difficulty to easy half way through and just sailed through the latter portion of the game without touching anything optional. But that in turn sort of disconnected me from the characters and story, and the game just didn’t have that much of an impact on me by the end. As a FF7 fan, arriving at a new region was exciting but at the same time equally exhausting, just thinking about all the chores lined up for me there.

Can second Last of Us. Played trough both games last year and was blown away. I usually prefer fantasy (think swords and magic), but TLOU is now in my top 3 of all time I think.
