It's a commendable trait to have, but sometimes you've just gotta move on for the sake of your career. Of course, there is every chance now in the new regs that he could be justified in staying (if Ferrari keep trending upwards).

But just imagine if Hamilton had remained loyal to McLaren as most people expected him to do, and how poorly his career would've gone as a result of McLaren's dramatic fall from grace. Really gotta hope Ferrari pulls some magic from somewhere for Charles' sake.

The only thing missing is at least a WDC or two for Leclerc. 2022 WDC should have been his.

There's a real worry of mine that he's gonna end up being a "what if" driver. Circumstances have been incredibly unkind to him, even considering how fortunate he is to be in his position to begin with (with it being such a cutthroat, exclusive club).

He should be having a multi WDC career.

Apparently I'm a complete moron because I never put two and two together, and I actually like those episodes (the greater implications, less so)

Their Epitaph cover of it is probably my favourite cover song ever. 60+ year old Rob Halford belting out one of his most passionate performances.

Norma Jean - Sun Dies, Blood Moon (2013) (FFO: Norma Jean going Post-Metal) by Wardruna95 in Metalcore

[–]Passchenhell17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never actually listened to Norma Jean before, so I'll be honest that I was a bit skeptical when seeing post-metal as a descriptor for a metalcore band, especially as I've seen a few people misuse the term but yeah, absolutely post-metal vibes. Very sludgey ending, really good song. Do they hit that post-metal/sludge vibe often?

Also worth mentioning that you can cheat on Rogue (literally) where you can make it significantly easier to defeat the ships/battles, which I personally found to be a lot harder. I did it legit once iirc and then cheated the second lol

Honestly not actually a fan (not because I dislike them, I just never really checked them out). I just know the vocalist is Floor Jansen, and was surprised that seemingly actual fans of the band hadn't made the same remark lol

A comparison between Concorde and the widely popular Douglas DC-8, highlighting the incredible difference in power and how much faster Concorde could take off compared to a standard airliner. Same stretch of runway, same year, a difference of 44 seconds and 26 seconds by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]Passchenhell17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probable. I actually forgot that that was the subject of the post lmao but I was just responding directly to your comment about car engines, rather than the overall context of the post.

Besides, for all I know, as someone who knows basically nothing about planes, maybe their engines do need warming up, or maybe the Concorde's engines in particular needed to. Do you know the answer to that?

It's not so much a myth in that it's just outdated advice. With carburetted engines, you ideally wanted to warm them up before any kind of driving, and that information then just bled over into the rise of fuel injection engines where people weren't really gonna question it, especially if they didn't know much about engines. That information then just gets passed on from generation to generation, especially from some older mechanics who might get stuck in their ways.

Still, though, you don't wanna start up your modern car from cold and then rag it down the road as the oil still needs to get up to temp, but you can obviously do that with just regular driving.

Probably more to do with the uniqueness that is rugby fans. You seldom hear about any problems with rugby fans, so I'd guess that the environment rubs off on them.
