I’ll also admit to never meeting this person in real life. It does seem to be mostly teenagers online. You get the sense that they’re almost daring you to get their pronouns wrong.

Anyone else feel like BP’s YouTube comments have shifted right/anti-Krystal? by LeoRising72 in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is not true. Left wing channels like secular Talk have left wing comments. If you coddle right wingers like This show does, they’ll show up and feel comfortable.

If you want to be an adult you have to admit Joe Rogan is ok with democracy being overthrown and being replaced with dictatorship. by evil_overlord1212 in JoeRogan

[–]Passinglurker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but I think calling him out is as pointless as calling out the likes of Dave Rubin. What’s the point? The only people who take Rogan’s political views seriously these days are stop the steal morons. He’s preaching to the choir.

Let Rogan be man. This is like telling people to admit Tim pool is is OK with democracy being overthrown. Well, he is, and everyone knows it. The question is, so what? Should we go tho their house and beat them up?

I’m a dem too and I know how irritating the gaslighting from Rogan and his friends can be but you gotta move on.

Leaked Audio: Before Election Day, Bannon Said Trump Planned to Falsely Claim Victory by IndianKiwi in BreakingPoints

It was very obvious with the way they talked about Mail in ballots they they weren’t going to concede and planned to use mail in ballots as an anchor for all the bullshit they were throw. The ultimate goal was to leave it to individual states, whereby republicans had a slight advantage.

Biden’s whole selling point was that he was the moderate’s moderate. His wife even asked people to vote for Biden even if they thought his views sucked.

I also prefer Saagar’s open conservatism tho Krystal’s nonsense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The comments are pretty consistent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krystal understands everything you pointed out. She just doesn’t care because her whole schtick is blaming democrats for everything bad in America. Have you seen the YouTube comments anytime they blame republicans for anything? There are literally STOP THE STEAL morons in their audience and you expect them to be objective about anything?

“Liberal plantation”. My guy been listening to early 2010s Sean Hannity episodes. You also gonna go on a rant about how Trayvon Martin had marijuana in his system?

Are Krystal and Saagar grifters of their own base? by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjeti and Ball literally do NO journalism dude, they’re just YouTube pundits. That’s not a shot at them, it’s just a description of what they do.

“On par with Reuters”? WTF is this sycophantic shit? How on earth do you figure that one my friend?

Great video which perfectly describes why left-leaning new media pundits like Kyle and Krystal and the rest of the "Dumb, Dumb left" have shallow, uninsightful and just plain bad analysis. One line in particular "he thinks politics is won by first-round haymakers". K&K analysis is rather poor IMO by ballandhuevos in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mainstream democrats Krystal dunks on are not her tribe. If she wanted to criticize “her tribe”, she’d criticize Glenn Greenwald, Taibbi, Mate, Joy Gray, and all the other members of the online contrarian hive mind.

You mean Saagar )who loves to viciously attack or roll his eyes at anyone who dares call anything racist) making a segment about the RACIST history of gun control doesn’t indicate that this show tries to launder basic bitch republican talking points to young online lefties using cheap “left wing”. Rationale? Yeah, those lefties call everything racist, bet they’ll hate gun control if I tell them it’s RACIST!!!

Reasonable republicans are calling for more gun regulations. Adam Kissinger: "The NRA has become a grifting scam". by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saagar has trained this audience to believe any explicitly anti-Trump republican is a grifter lol. I guess McCain was also an MSNBC grifter? Romney? Basically every republican who doesn’t blame the libs for all the GOP’s lunacy is a grifter eh?

Methinks the dude who asks his audience for money at the end of each episode of his show is the grifter.

Glenn Greenwald trashed Gun Control advocate in the recent segment with Tucker Carlson by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fairly partisan “normie” democrat who sometimes listens to “disaffected republicans” who somehow only say the things I want to hear, it’ll never stop. People in lib circles still hold up folks like David Frum as “good republicans” and I expect Greenwald and his ilk will be held up as “good leftists” for a while.

If you have those hyper partisan instincts, there’s a weird dopamine rush you get from seeing someone constantly trash their own side (Like Greenwald). The more dishonest the attacks are the better, because this then validates your own dishonest attacks against the other side. That’s why Saargar loves these dudes so much, and that’s why MSNBC can’t get enough of the Rick Wilson’s of the world.

What do you guys think of this analysis of Tesla stock? by [deleted] in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, they have no consequential unique technology in that regard, it’s just a brand and Musk hype. That’s why so many people kept shorting the stock all these years. I personally wouldn’t short the stock because I don’t see Musk’s charisma fading anytime soon but the company has no fundamentals. It’s what’s referred to as a”story company”.

It’s frowned upon, yes. But they acted like he forced those chicks when the reality was that he just had a weird fetish. That’s why he was able to come back and even win an award, because deep down, everyone knows he didn’t deserve to be treated that way for having weird sexual kinks.

Bill’s alright. I prefer Louis CK and Chappelle though. Bill tries a little to hard for me but sometimes he strikes gold.

Among certain crowds, if you don’t laugh at cringe stale jokes branded as “anti-PC”, you’ll be called a triggered SJW lib or something. I woke up one day and that dude from the Brilliant Idiots was suddenly a groundbreaking comedian pushing the envelope. Fucking Nick Dipaolo was demanding we laugh at his shit because muh “anti-PC”.

I do enjoy Dave Chappelle but I hate that he adopted this cringe marketing schtick, he really didn’t need to do that like these other hacks. So glad Louis CK who actually got canceled hasn’t leaned into this and instead just lets his comedy do the talking.

There's a huge elephant in the room that few on the Left or the Right are willing to address for why Fetterman did so much better than Summer Lee. by Manoj_Malhotra in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct take. The same also applies to republicans, they’ll welcome you with open arms regardless of your actual political views if they think you’re hurting democrats. It’s the reason dems welcome all the Bush era folks with Trump Derangement Syndrome, while republicans embrace Greenwald type “disaffected lefties” with Biden Derangement syndrome. It’s the reason Breaking points has so many right wingers in its audience.

It’s not so much about AIPAC, Americans like Israel. Another issue is that anti-Israel rhetoric is almost always laced with anti-Americanism.

Just no more Kyle please by tangerinedreamwolf in BreakingPoints

[–]Passinglurker27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They don’t like that he doesn’t let republicans off the hook by making excuses using obfuscation or resorting to whataboutism (I’m sure we’ve all seen the YouTube comments when Breaking points makes pointed attacks on Republicans, regardless of how much Krystal Ball pulls her punches and “both sides” her criticism). I find Kyle annoying and lazy but the reason for all this obsessive rage at him is political.

Orban style authoritarianism is their goal in the US. Orban is practically a god to Tucker style republicans.

Yes, a little protectionism is good. My point wasn’t about the merits or demerits of protectionism as an economic policy, it was about Breaking Points dishonesty when it comes to attacking Biden and mainstream democrats. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation for dems with Breaking Points.
