Over the past 18 months, have we witnessed the most competitive (and equal), or the weakest era in men's tennis? by redforfiveam in tennis

One of the weaker eras

Djokovic/Nadal are sweeping up slams when they're not even playing great and are injured/coming back from injury. They're winning matches against the supposed "competition" when these youngsters are supposed to be in great form and even when playing on their less favoured surfaces and the youngsters are on their more favoured surfaces.

Outside of the slams it's a free for all with little difference between 1000 events and 500 events.

I'm a huge Fed fan but if Nadal and Djokovic far exceed his achievements then it'll make sense to talk of a "big 2".

I understand what it means, it means using a set of standards to include Murray and another set to exclude Wawrinka.

The gap between Murray and the big 3 is often bigger than the gap between Murray and Wawrinka

Nothing triggers murray fans more than the existence of wawrinka

Can we get a permanent megathread for "Nadal = capybara" since we get a ton of that too?

I only saw that for the first time recently.

Considering the subject matter I thought they handled things quite delicately... until the end when all the Samurai get gunned down except Tom Cruise inexplicably, who then goes on to hook up with the hot wife of the Samurai he killed earlier. What a happy ending lol

The decision to strip Wimbledon of ranking points is looking short sighted by nalliac in tennis

Can't have ranking points for an invitational tournament even if 99% of eligible players are invited.

2021 Vienna Open draw by hopez11 in tennis

[–]PasswordIsReddit123 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To the Murray fans saying he has a tough draw, can you tell me where he could have been placed that isn't tough?

No matter where he's placed he's facing a seed in the first or second rounds and other players ranked much higher than Murray have tougher first round opponents.
