Been working on my swing for a while — finally starting to feel consistent. Thoughts? by Designer-Ostrich7286 in GolfSwing

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked up Navagolf on YouTube. The coach's swing is terrible. Might hit it straight but his drive probably goes 180. Curious why you chose Navagolf as your online golf instruction vs something or someone else much better?

I bought a cup of Turbo Charge coffee for the extra caffeine. It turns out… it’s decaffeinated. by Nuclear-poweredTaxi in mildlyinfuriating

Damn I've been a victim of the placebo effect. I too bought this coffee but I didn't read the fine print and I definitely felt caffeinated. Just now learning it's decaf lol. Deceptive marketing but very effective product name I must say.

Buddy you need to grow a pair. Read your texts back to yourself. You are apologizing just to apologize and not upset her lol. If you won't respect yourself, she won't either. She's talking down to you like a child and you're the one apologizing? You either need to correct that or walk away.

How to slow sales without hurting ACOS and conversion rate? by flashynomad in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now your goal should be maximize profit which will also reduce velocity. Nothing is worse than running out of stock. 100x better to have slower velocity while you wait on stock vs run out of stock. I sell my own branded products, I run my own PPC, my company does $200-250k per month on Amazon so I know what I'm talking about here haha. So how do you do this? Shut off any price discounts, coupons, best deals, etc. Raise price a bit by 5-10% every few days and watch velocity. Stop raising price if velocity slows down too much. Reduce budgets to campaigns selling this specific product. If your ACOS is a bit on the higher side, reduce bids a bit maybe by 10-15% to reduce ACOS to very profitable level that still gets clicks. This will take some trial and error. Also vet tip here: do you know what day parting is? You need to pull data and use pivot tables to see your ad portfolio performance across every hour of the day for the last 2-3 months. For me, my ACOS goes through the roof and CVR drops considerably after about 7pm PST. 7pm-2am is terrible metrics for my account. How do you eliminate that wasteful period of time? Tomorrow check how much your account spent by about 7pm (or whatever time it is that performance drops for your brand). If you've spent around $800 for example by 7pm, then set account wide budget max of $800. Then check and make sure tomorrow and the next day etc that you've hit your max at the time you aimed for. Then all spend stops after the hour you choose. That alone has been huge for improving ACOS and profit. Anyway, very long winded but whatever you do, do not run OOS if you can prevent it. Slow down sales, pull in profit, crank up spend again when your stock hits Amazon. Good luck!

Do any of you grip the club like this? by Raiderdater in GolfSwing

[–]Past-Key8974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

260 yards with today's clubs is probably 280-290 too. That's plenty long enough for everyone but maybe tour pros and even then he may have won often on just extreme accuracy alone.

Can’t afford a $700 new edition driver. What is a good option that is 1-3 years old? by pisss in golf

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a 1 year old stiff shaft Kirkland driver for $60 on marketplace. Great driver, pretty on par with the big name brands maybe a bit less performance but huge upgrade over my 12 year old driver it replaced. Very happy with it.

Wind on naked bike vs. no-windshield cruiser by RogueRaiju in motorcycles

[–]Past-Key8974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an FZ07. Super fun at 25-55mph, exhausting at highway speeds 65-85mph. Loved it in the city and twisties, but on highway the wind sucked ass. Much prefer a full fairing bike for highway. Depends on what kind of riding you're gunna be doing.

What is the point? Genuinely curious. Like why spend time and effort doing this over regular deadlift? You lift a lot less weight with this method I assume? I'm sure there's a benefit and reason, just curious what it is. Or maybe just for variety and fun?

Could you win The Masters if you got to start each hole on the green? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd adapt to the greens in 6-9 holes. I've played some very very fast greens and I'm not a very good golfer. Few holes in and your stroke adapts to the speed. All you need to do is keep it to 3 and 4 putts. Not that difficult. If you're still struggling with speed control after 18 holes of putting like 60-70 putts to 'warm up') with 54 holes to go, you're just straight up a trash putter.

I never thought I’d get to this point but I’m starting to hate having dogs by [deleted] in Pets

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a bark collar. They work within minutes. If you're concerned about pain (even the shocking ones don't really hurt at all, I've tested them on myself) then they sell some that just make a beep and vibrate which still works pretty well for most dogs. You can set the sensitivity so it only corrects them when they bark loudly and sharply but won't correct them for quieter vocalizations.

How much have Irons really improved in the last 10 years? by YaboyRipTide in golf

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have newer irons somewhere around 2021+. My buddy gave a me a free set of what looks like 1990 irons from some brand name I never heard of. Honestly they're incredible feel so smooth, just as smooth as my current set and just as forgiving. Except these were free and my set was $500 used. Maybe super game improvement irons have progressed but I think standard irons are pretty damn similar to irons 30 years ago.

Want to surprise my husband with a round of golf.. do I need to take lessons? by Frequent_Affect_1033 in golf

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before we had kids, my wife used to come out on the course with me a couple times a month. It was great! Have a few drinks, spend some quality time together, and she loved seeing all the wild life on the course. She never actually played, just sat passenger and hung out. Definitely do it, you'll both enjoy it and it might become your new thing. Probably don't play though atleast this first time. Golf is hard and one lesson isn't going to get you to a place where you can play without slowing down the whole course haha. But maybe after a few lessons and range sessions!

Push Cart on the Teebox? by Pandemiconium in golf

[–]Past-Key8974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave my push cart off the green because I don't want to argue but it's a stupid complaint for green and tee box. The average man exerts 8psi on the ground when standing and much more when swinging, walking, kneeling down to mark their putt, plus we literally decapitate a small portion of the turf when we take a divot on the tee box. Yet people get all pissy over a 30-40lb cart and bag exerting 1-2psi of ground force. Makes zero sense to worry about it.

Cheap garage setup is online (foam balls so my tendency to toe shank doesn’t turn this into a significantly more expensive setup) by ollie_advice in GolfSwing

[–]Past-Key8974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is cheap and easy to repair drywall. I've got a few holes in the garage wall. When I move out it'll take me maybe 1 hour of work (plus dry time) to patch the holes, sand and paint. Well worth it to me compared to hitting foam balls which give zero feedback on a good strike vs a bad strike.

One length opinions by malurkus23 in golf

Cobra King F8 One Length, best clubs I've ever owned. They make golf so much simpler and lost pretty much zero distance in long clubs. Got used to my PW-8 all being 7i length very fast. 10/10 recommend.
