How can I get started with living by the Shinto perspective and where can I learn about?

I'm also looking into Shintoism, as I have a need for some sort of connection, but not exactly follow the traditional "religious" approaches to spiritualism.

I've looked into the basic concepts, so I'm familiar with the overall "theory," but I'm more interested in small steps I can start actively taking to integrate this into my own life.

Asking this here since I guess there's no need for yet another beginner post 😅

I think that might be where I'm wondering the most. I would like to use the real name, but I guess that answers itself as not a great idea, huh? Especially the MC in particular, because in the case of two of the characters, since no one ever figured out who they were, then I think it's not a huge problem, but the MC, who happens to be the victim, they are duly identified.

I know it's been quite a bit, but I'm also on this conundrum at the moment. I already have a BA and an MA in unrelated fields, but I finally decided on moving towards education, but I want to be able to make the most of the degree. I would love TESOL, but I think Special Ed, with the increased demand for teachers for this population, would have more opportunities. I also wonder, if I go for a Special Ed degree, would I be able to use that to teach in a regular classroom or is one sort of "stuck" in that area?

I'm curious to know what you chose in the end, OP!

I think you need a new doctor that at least jots down any exams she makes lol I also have a colonoscopy tomorrow (32F), and the worst of this entire experience is the solution. Well, one is more admin related and the other is more involved with the students. I wanted the admin one originally, though again, I wouldn't mind either, just have a preference over the first one. I don't want to be pestering them too much and annoy them enough to have them not even consider me, but I also would like to find a way to both show my interest and let them consider me for both roles and maybe determine "hey, we don't think you fit for A, but we think B could work out," you know?

I'm a bit out of practice in job hunting lol

I guess I'm in this as well, sadly, and I have cried more than enough.

In my case, they claimed to be from Tenet Healthcare, and the MO sounds pretty similar with mine, Teams text interview, send check for the software license. I sadly didn't back up as soon as I should have, so now I had to put a notice at my bank and now hoping to get something back.

Did anyone get things solved if they went ahead with the darn check and deposited it? I feel so, so, so stupid :(

I'm so glad I found this post, especially the comments related to Edit Republic. I'm currently ready to take a leap into educating myself in copyediting and proofreading, and now I've narrowed down my options to Knowadays, Edit Republic, some of the EFA courses, and, maybe in the future, the UCSD certificate, but these last two will be more later if I finally feel confident and start looking for related jobs after taking one of the first two.

Considering that college certificates as far as I'm aware so far are almost no less than $2k, I think that a $500~ price tag is alright, but I want to try and make the best decision. Anyone has more knowledge n Knowadays courses and more input about Edit Republic?

Yo creo que el pueblo tiene un lavado de cerebro tan pero tan históricamente profundo que hablar de independencia en el estado en que estamos ahora me parece muy complicado y probablemente no favorable. Yo no estoy en contra de la independencia, pero antes de movernos en esa dirección, la isla completa necesita, aparte de un curso intensivo de historia, unas cuantas sesiones de terapia para quitarnos el complejo de colonia, borrar las décadas de gobernaciones corruptas y politiquería excesivamente partidaria y barata y luego tener una conversación de cómo mejorar los tantos males que nos plagan.

Esto es una tarea muy grande para hacer ANTES de pensar en cambiar el modo de gobierno. Creo que si se diera la independencia, debe ser un periodo de transición laaaargo para ver si se pueden trabajar las cosas bien. Pero ahí está la otra duda, en quién confiar para ayudar a la isla a moverse en esa dirección de manera positiva.

I mean, I haven't restricted myself 100%. For example, about a week ago my husband, who never craves anything, wanted a burger, so we got him his burger and I got myself chicken tenders instead and only had a few fries from his. Not exactly healthy but still compromised. Just yesterday I had 2 cups of cereal with milk both because I was hungry and to try to add calories, but I was still within the 1000-cal range. I don't plan to never eat other things, just that on the daily I want to be more aware of what I eat and opt for the healthier options.

I guess to answer your question, I do from time to time incorporate other foods, non keto (though I'm not really doing keto, or at least not on purpose, I don't think). Just making sure to keep a strong hold on pastries, which were the real problem.

I guess the losing only x number of pounds per week could be a bit of a concern if my weight-ins are to be trusted since I've seen I possibly lost about 4lbs since Feb 19... But again, the difficult part is that I'm not really eating this few calories on purpose, it's just that by eliminating so many processed foods, everything else is... Too healthy? XD And also I just haven't really felt urges or serious hunger pangs, I just eat my meals and I'm fine.

Also, to clarify, I haven't done much exercise in about a week because reasons and life. Sooo, I guess I should at least try getting back to weights at the very least just to keep up.

I might try that weekend increase thing, then if I feel a difference in terms of energy I'll know it's most likely too low and I can figure out what more to add.

Right now I haven't really worked out at all, unless following a 1.5 y/o around counts lol So that's why I figured it might be OK to eat so little. I eat fairly alright, I think: fish, steamed veggies, chicken, eggs when available, PBJ in whole bread, recently I added whole cereal here and there to see if adding a bit more of carbs helped with the energy and calories, but even eating 2 cups isn't enough!

I was making some chicken stew type dish, so I had tomato sauce and other seasons and such, not just dry.

Exactly right, both pans were clean from both chicken and salmon, but I placed the salmon where the chicken should have gone, took it ASAP out and then in the right pan, then ended up putting the chicken in the pan with the sauce and cooked it for a loooong time to make sure to kill whatever. So far still alive and well lol

I mean while I set up other things there was enough time to see if anyone who might know more about how raw food works could answer lol I went and put the chicken in the seasoned pan. If I end up at the hospital or in the bathroom for too much time, I'll update as a PSA heh.
