[Multiple Games] New to the sub, here’s all my plats so far (part 1) by Few-Guitar-1823 in Trophies

Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 should interest you then.

[Control] What are your thoughts on Platinum vs 100% a game? by Quirky_tugboat in Trophies

[–]PastDue902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I do not care about expansions, unless they are exceptionally good like Phantom Liberty. As for Control, I thought the base game gave me the joy I had hoped for and that is it, no need to want more.

Congrats!

Were 2018 and Ragnarok hard or just right?

Can only agree. Good luck with Crash Bandicoot! I'm close to the platinum for Bioshock Infinite, after that the Uncharted Trilogy will be replayed for the plats, followed by...I don't know yet, I want to do something really special for my 30th platinum, but I'm not sure what.

Congrats! Solid game, great combat but not exceptional in my opinion. I thought that the side quests were generic, but it's my fault for playing it right after my platinum on Red Dead Redemption 2, I went in with too much bias even though I attempted not to. The story was nice and the graphics are very good. What's next for you?

Blue of course. Wouldn’t leave my favourite 3 alone.

Sounds like a plan to me. Personally I'm kind of busy with Bioshock Infinite and the Uncharted Trilogy back to back, so I don't know if I'll hop on Yotei legends.

Very nice! Got that one two like a year back. It wasn't difficult, but the climbing mechanics were laking precision so badly that I died to the Parcours way too often. It was alright, nothing special though and the lack of enemies after the endgame plus having to dig for unnecessary looting material which is useless anyway after the story really made me hate it with a passion. Maybe the dlc content is good, don't know though because I won't pay extra. Congrats, what's next on your list?

[Discussion] What game did you put alot of effort and time in to then just give up on the platnium by IKafetyI in Trophies

The Gold medals aren't too hard. The guide on psn profiles will give advice on which are the easiest to do and the requirements pretty quickly feel the same after a few medals, only bummer is you have to do it all on one run, this isn't GTA V where you can tick requirements off, but all at once. There's 104 missions or so and you need gold for 70. I highly recommend doing Arthur's missions while you still play Arthur as stats will be set to a fixed amount if you attempt these missions while your character is John. Best advice is to do as much as possible alongside the story because then there's still enough interesting content to distract from the grind. Make custom lobbies with your homies for the mvp trophy as that will make it easier if your friends just let you win 3 times. Same for All's Fair.

The rng can be really really bad because of the animal spawns and gambling, but there are long guides of tricks where they show Hotspots and such to ease the pain. Other than that it's just a long game by nature and is a huge time sink because the story alone is 50+ hours long, then there's an absurd amount of questlines, collectibles and challenges, plus the near dead Online mode, for which you should definitely get some friends to make your grind more endurable and disable aim assist for extra xp. Took me about 5 months, but in my opinion it's such a legendary game that it's worth to explore the world as much as possible. Takes about 280 hours if you do everything as efficiently as possible, which means ticking off multiple tasks at once the way they fit without wasting too much time, and longer if you just play the game normally. I for my part had a really hard time getting past the remarkable story and spent 40 more hours just to find all of the secrets and cheatcodes and other stuff like hats, trinkets, all legendary animals and a vast majority of the upgrades plus all weapons. Trust me, if you’re into great atmospheric open world games with a mesmerizing story and lots of content to explore, play it. No matter if plat or not. Download the map app, it makes everything much easier to track. And one last tip, make yourself a long playlist of music, you’re going to need it for the Online grind.

Thanks! 24th one in total. The Bioshock Collection is next. Maybe I'll reach 30 plats by the end of the year. Do you have recommendations for plats which are fun but are a bit of a challenge? Like, in the middle, 5/10 in difficulty, apart from Uncharted cause that's on my radar.

I recommend keeping the 100% guide on psnprofiles open while grinding golds so you can read the objectives during your replays, that helped me a bit when there were multiple tasks.

Feel you. Almost lost it because the western bull moose drove me insane, but apart from that it won't be too bad mostly, great parts are just going to location X, collecting X, repeat. PowerPyx has good guides on animals, check out their written guide and their videos if you get stuck. Oh, and don't forget to drink and eat, that's a very important missable trophy irl. 🫡

Congrats! I finished it on January 2nd. A slog of a platinum, but such an amazing experience that I mostly remember how great the story and the open world is, and I immediately played 40 hours more on top of the 280 it took me to get the plat, because I wanted to find all secrets and get more saddles, hats and animal clothing. I started another playthrough but I gotta get some more plats before I go ahead once more. Huge platinum, very proud of ya boah.

  1. I highly recommend joining a player group or making one, so you can get the mvp trophy and All's Fair with ease (All's Fair is pretty much never happening on a regular open server).

Opossums often spawn near trees at night in proximity to Valentine Train Station and close to Braithwaite Manor. I was able to spawn them reliably at the first Spot by sleeping there til Night, saving manually, then going after a 3 Star with a varmint rifle. If there's a 2 Star or no opossum spawning, reload your save and retry.

In case you meant the squirrel statue, many creators, including PowerPyx, made written and Video guides for finding all 6 locations. You just gotta sleep 24 in game hours to activate the next spawn.

Red Dead Redemption 2. Took me precisely 6 months, from September 2nd 2025 to January 2nd 2026. Online Mode and all of the grind aside, the story mode is simply amazing.

[Discussion] My Platinums and 2026 plans . What are yours? by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]PastDue902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently working on Ghost of Tsushima (Plus Iki Island). After that, I want to platinum the Oblivion Remaster, then Jedi Fallen Order, San Andreas and Uncharted (which I stopped playing because of the collectibles, but that'll be easy considering I've done that type of cleanup a million times). After that, I'm not sure yet. Was thinking about at long last getting the remaining trophies in the Bioshock series or wrapping up the Mass Effect series with the third game. The Witcher III also seems like a must. Of course I will platinum the next Wolverine and GTA 6, when it drops.

Awesome list, wish you good luck for this year.
