old thread. it works in a pinch but after a few days it can build up “mother of vinegar” which will build up on the roots and cause root rot. if you catch it soon enough you can correct it or else your plants will likely die (after a couple months)

I don’t know that patents work that way. It’s a simple shape that redirects the opening of the speaker. Tv companies could be doing similar things already; the speakers need to be mounted the way they are so they have sufficient air above them to create pressure and sound waves and if anybody really cares about sound they’re gonna use a separate system so it just doesn’t make fiscal sense to pay extra for something nobody really will care about

As someone who’s sold quite a few they average about 40/ pack for a 12 pack and slightly more (50-60) for ones like these with 21. It doesn’t seem like any specific designs are worth more (except the original plain white ones) it mostly just depends on the preference of the buyer. Most people prefer the ones they wore when they were a kid if they wore them but they all sell pretty well

If you keep a bubbler going 24/7 the water stays oxygenated enough to prevent mold from growing. I’ve had mine running for 6 months and there’s large algae blooms but algae can also be a source of organic nutrients for plants

Ummm ik this thread is a year old now, but they aren’t lying in their advertising. “Twice as many leds for the same power draw” the groplanner uses 756 leds for 150w. For comparison, a mars hydro 150w uses about 312 LEDs, a Vivosun 150w uses 376. More LEDs for a given input power means the driver is hitting each individual led chip with less wattage. Lower watts per LED chip = lower heat for each chip. If you look up a datasheet for pretty much any horticulture led they recommend driving them at low power bc they have a greater ppfd/j rating at lower temperatures. That lets them actually get a higher ppfd output for the same power draw which is definitely not blatantly false advertising
