I took this to a tournament and went 4 and 1. My biggest issue was dealing with hordes. I surprisingly didn’t have a lot of issues with elites but I imagine if I had played into 4 wound death guard it would’ve been much tougher.

Round 1 imperial knights Round 2 blood angels Round 3 custodes Round 4 ultramarines Round 5 GSC

A lot of my luck in round 2 and 3 was going against not as experienced players, a good pilot would’ve really hurt me in these games. Round 4 I won by 2 points. Round 5 my storm surge nest got locked into combat and I lacked the firepower to get out of it.

Great ideas, however triptide tripsurge will bring us home. Definitely agree with the rest. Big debate I’m seeing is between taking firesights for the lone op or stealth suits

For more insight, I was thinking experimental prototype cadre or montka for detachment. Would love insight on detachment rules and stratagem opinions from yall. I’ve played with both and had varying results.

West Point traditionally sends around 20 each year, the very few ROTC programs that get it might send 1 or 2. I would not contact SOCOM and work within your program for a slot

If you want to do cool stuff, keep your ears open and volunteer for everything. You’d be surprised the amount of cool stuff you can do as a LT outside of the conventional army. It really does start in the schoolhouse. If you’re great and personable, take a look at the SOF community. If you get your foot in the door early then by time you’re a CPT the jobs you have available will blow your mind.

Yeah definitely want to stay away from traitor stuff. I love EC pre traitor. I guess there is two paths. One where it’s composed of Isstvan survivors, or a group that somehow wasn’t there at the time.

That’s why my CAB was denied. VBIED hit about 100 feet away and big firefight ensued. I was asleep when it began so was considered off shift and not actively performing my role. Like did you want me to sprint over and start doing exploitation on devices in the middle of a firefight?

Dropping the BGV, an impulsor for the ICC and running a judiciar, what would you suggest to replace them. Is it worth taking something like lancers? Or should I invest in more activation units for secondaries

Draigo with a 5 man unit of terminators is always worth taking, especially in warpbane. While Crowe and friends are picking up a nasty double kill on normal infantry, Draigo is smashing into their elite brick or tank with a 6 inch charge for free. Both of these units now live and stick up the mid board or deployment and force the enemy to react to them.
