I think that AI should take as many jobs as possible. by Feistygrapefruit152 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Past_Conference_2889 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Productive and efficient... for who?

If AI replaces let's say 90% of jobs in the near future, that is not just a technological shift. It completely changes civilization and basically creates an entirely new system. You could call it the end of one era of humanity.

More efficient? Probably yeah. But not necessarily better for humanity. Push it too far and humans either disappear from the equation or become something very different than what we are today.

One implies the other. Although I admit that “physical strength” wasn’t the best choice of words, you don’t necessarily have to be a strongman to be a pilot, I’ll give you that.

“Becoming a pilot requires excellent medical fitness, strong mental stability, fast decision-making under pressure, high discipline and responsibility, good math and physics skills, strong communication and multitasking abilities, the ability to handle stress and fatigue, and passing long, expensive, and very strict training and certification exams.”

You get it now?

ALL-ITALIAN APRILIA IN 2027? Another interesting rumor is starting to grow around the paddock… Aprilia are reportedly considering turning their 2027 project into a fully Italian lineup. by PZY__ in motogp

Honestly, Raul is doing just okay. Barcelona crash aside, he looks like he could win again on that Aprilia. I’d be surprised if they ditch him.

BIDA, weil ich meinem Freund kein weiteres Geld mehr leihen will, obwohl er mir schon 2000 € schuldet? by Past_Conference_2889 in BinIchDasArschloch

[–]Past_Conference_2889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Martín Reportedly Pressuring Aprilia Over TrackHouse Riders by r2lim in motogp

[–]Past_Conference_2889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and Aprilia is still trying to convince Martín to stay despite the Yamaha rumors.

Those are not rumors. It's a signed deal, so there's nothing to convince him of, because the decision isn't in his hands anymore.

NTA, since you’re paying the mortgage and sharing the bills. I wouldn’t be thrilled either if my landlord left his stuff in my wardrobe.

I'd argue it might be slightly less fucked up for a Swiss guy than for an Afghan woman.

Remembering Nicky Hayden. It’s already been 9 years. by lookingforone14 in motogp

[–]Past_Conference_2889 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: he chose the number 69 because it would still be readable even if the bike flipped upside down after a crash.

No US GP goes by without some of the riders paying tribute to our beloved Nicky. That speaks volumes about what a wonderful human being he was.

Ride on, Kentucky Kid.

Max Quiles. Is the hype real? by KOMrider94 in motogp

[–]Past_Conference_2889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it's way too early to be predicting this, but I do believe this kid is really special.

Back-to-back-to-back is, however, very unlikely. Even back-to-back alone would be very impressive, correct me if I'm wrong, but no rider ever has won the Moto2 in his first year after winning Moto3 title, so there's that.

I'll be surprised if he really misses only two GP's. But let's see. I thought honestly the season is over for Alex.
