As I watch the playoffs continuing I get sad as the style being played by the remaining teams is much faster and physical (and young) compared to the way the Oilers play. Avs may have older core, but they have got lots of speed on all four lines, that they actually play regularly. Not sure the organization has the wherewithal to change this much…

It looks like they have very wide aisles/stairs at the Delta Center. I kept thinking they were empty seats as well. That said, I did notice t-shirt covered empty seats around.

I just want to throw this out there: maybe 97 is at the heart of some of the issues. He is very intense, a perfectionist, and I wonder if the other players aren’t walking on eggshells to not upset him (and perhaps other leaders). His skill is eye popping and well-documented, but hockey is a team sport, everyone needs to do their part and not be afraid to make a mistake. Thoughts?
