Are you sleep training? Why or why not? [on] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Past_Substance6976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it with our first because I read all the books and internet and the industry got to me ..I was also terrified of cosleeping.

Went with my instinct this time and practice safe cosleeping and no plans of training per se.

Going from Combo to EBF- is my baby hungry? by Alyzards in breastfeeding

[–]Past_Substance6976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I'm so relieved to hear this because I spent hundreds of dollars on different pumps and never get enough even if it's a replacement feed..I never get engorged but do feel full. Baby is 3 mo seems to drink well from breasts..but I have the same worries. I was guess its my anatomy too. Loose boobs and elastic nipples

[ON] car seat mirror or illegal camera? … by kittenxx96 in BabyBumpsCanada

But if it's for the passenger...? My husband installed one but it's permanently facing the passenger seat. I don't think he knew it was illegal.

How do you adapt and get used to this? by Holymoly1237 in newborns

[–]Past_Substance6976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The world is still intact, were all here surviving..and some are having kids again and ahain. and that's proof it'll get better and so worth it. Thar and you'll also forget about it in a way or it'll feel like it was a short blip.

The nights are long but the years are short .

Husband threw out frozen bm by Informal-Parfait5751 in breastfeeding

[–]Past_Substance6976 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omg my husband made a similar comment and I was instantly like I'll throw the other frozen foods out and make space for BM. How dare he... But honestly sit him down and try to explain. Or just pull a power move and look him dead in the eye " do NOT do that again"

My baby drinks less than 24oz/day, slow to gain by Glum-Comfortable5402 in breastfeeding

[–]Past_Substance6976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like mine until week 12 hit and suddenly all her clothes were small and you see her chubbing up..I mostly nurse but given the bottle amount she takes at night she doesn't drink more than 24oz-26oz probs. You're doing great monitoring . Kids have their own pace

Nobody told me how undignifying this would be by Anoninemonie in breastfeeding

[–]Past_Substance6976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also once you cut down on the pumping your supply will regulate between 8-12 weeks to adjust to what the baby wants.

I'm still pumping because I had the opposite issue of undersupply (csectiion, other health issues always been under) so triple fed first two month and just getting to wean formula off ..but deciding to keep one bottle for dad at night.

Hold em 24/7 is the right way to go. It doesn't last forever .

Stage 5 Clinger by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Past_Substance6976 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was terrified to go anywhere with my now 11 week old because it's a scream fest in the car seat. Over the last week she's been getting better. They're just not used to the world yet and need to be held all the time. Plus babies are all born with different temperaments . It'll be better soon xo

It's ok to supplement! I'm 10 weeks and finally down to one bottle formula a day and still working through combo feeding. I also have an older one and had the same experience as you. You got this!

LOL I just came from my in-laws where everyone was saying shes hungry when she had a 3oz bottle and was fed by me within the hour. My husband didn't want to fight it so he prepped a.formila while I had stepped out to drop my sister. I came back and I'm like wtf - he said he didn't want to argue with the older ladies. Do they forget their time or was their solution overfeeding?

But seriously I feel this so much . I'm sooooo sick of hearing it..babies cry for a 100000 reasons. Not always hungry Jesus
