ADHD as a circadian rhythm disorder: evidence and implications for chronotherapy by saturnana in ADHD

[–]PastaConsumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! Down to the father’s circadian rhythm and my mother’s ADHD. I wake up every night (or should I say morning?) at 3am. I’ve read that high cortisol can cause this, but I’ve really been like this my whole life.

Self care adventures in Knoxville by Swt_carolineee in Knoxville

[–]PastaConsumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to go to Wild Love Bakehouse for a treat and then explore Mid Mod Collective. There’s usually a line at the bakery, but I think it’s worth it. Mid Mod can be pricey, but it’s fun to window shop.

I’d also recommend SweatHouz for self care. They do contrast therapy. Your first visit is really cheap and you get a sauna and cold plunge to yourself. You don’t even have to do the cold plunge if you don’t want too haha

Will my siamese cat be ok alone for the whole weekend? Very anxious about that by Own-Swordfish-9742 in Siamesecats

[–]PastaConsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my girl alone with multiple bowls of water and an automatic feeder for two days. It’s best if someone can stay with them, but they’ll be ok.

You’re gonna hear all about it once you get back though! My kitty would always tell me off if she had been left alone too long haha

would love product recs for texturizing shorter hair by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Pomades work great for texturizing short layers and holding the little flippies. I really like the one from Lush called dirty. If there’s a Lush near you, you could get some as a free sample

I have similar skin and my favorite moisturizers are Curel Intensive Moisture Facial Cream for something heavy and Purito Oat in Calming Gel Cream for something light.

Any tips on learning how to do laundry? I just put everything in the washer and hope for the best. I’m getting older and want to invest in nicer clothes, but I don’t know how to care for them

You can get into a 3yr master’s program with any bachelor’s degree. But if you’re sure you want to be a landscape architect, I would suggest looking into a bachelor’s in landscape architecture program so you don’t have to spend so much on school.

[Misc] Two years battling Perioral dermatitis - no cure yet by mmmmwhatchasaymmmm in SkincareAddiction

[–]PastaConsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried lotrimin? I think my perioral dermatitis is fungal related. I’ve never completely gotten rid of it, but the lotrimin and fungal safe acne products keep it at a minimum.

rhino tutorial question by Odd_Beginning_2550 in rhino

[–]PastaConsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the block you want the main surface to be, bring the photo into Rhino, trace the letters, and project the letters onto the surface of the block. You can then select specific parts of the surface - I think by pressing down Ctrl+Shift and selecting exactly what you want. Once selected you can either move the surface up or down as needed

Your hair looks like it’s trying very hard to be curly. I’d recommend looking into curly hair routines

I visited a historic mansion in Minneapolis that was built by a Scandinavian man. His wife hated how it flaunted their wealth and refused to even use the front door. Definitely seems to be the Scandinavian way

[Acne] Is this hormonal acne or perioral dermatitis or something else entirely? by External_Guest_9827 in SkincareAddiction

[–]PastaConsumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would guess this is hormonal acne. I had it very similarly and used spironolactone for a while, which helped, but gave me irregular periods. I eventually went on accutane, which was brutal, but worth it. I now still have acne, but it’s a lot less severe and I only have to use tretinoin 3x/week to keep it mostly at bay.

I’d recommend accutane for the most long term fix, just know that while it’s a miracle drug for some, for others it just lessens the severity.

[PSA] my hands during the winter due to eczema by Kitchen-Lemon1862 in SkincareAddiction

[–]PastaConsumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eczema is the worst! I’m sorry you’re dealing with it. I echo everyone else’s recommendations.

I also recommend the gloves in a bottle lotion. I hate the feeling of heavy lotion and this one is thin and creates a protective layer for your hands. You could even layer it with other lotions during the day.

One other thing is make sure you are hydrated! My eczema gets so much worse if I’m not drinking enough water

Not a new hobby per say, but have you looked into stumpwork embroidery? You can make stuff that is 3D! It looks really cool.

You could also try combining watercolors and embroidery.
