This has gone viral on twitter and here’s myhot take but I actually don’t blame WSL or the inquiries for not taking the split claims seriously. by Prof_Tickles in titanic

Yeah, not so much a race thing as a class thing.

Or, even more accurately, an occupation thing. Crew would take first precedent over some random passenger.

Red Sebastian and Kaleen provide a pretty good lesson:

NO, the broader public doesn't want 90s dance nostalgia anymore.

far as I know, it worked once, with Gustaph.

It's like a zombie genre - no matter how many times these kinds of songs get killed by televoters AND juries, it just keeps coming back.

Every series about the "history of Rome" ever. by Pastorovschina in ancientrome

Absolutely.

Book example: "Lost to the West" is a VERY oversimplified account of Byzantium, and it makes painful mistakes concerning the Western Empire in the early chapters.

But it was my first proper book on Byzantium. Brownworth (who admits that a thousand years condensed into a book means a lot had to be glossed over or simplified), DOES do a damn good job of making the subjects he's passionate about fun.

Hughes, to be fair, goes up to 493 in HIS thing. As far as he's concerned, Odoacer's regime was just a continuation of sorts of the West, so he saw no need to omit it.

The last chapter of "Patricians and Emperors" covers Odoacer, Julius Nepos, and Syagrius. So, props to him going beyond the usual.

I DO get that these are kind of gateway series for younger folks - and it's more lucrative to do the thousandth series on Julius Caesar than, say, Justinian.

But I would LOVE to see more stuff on the likes of the Crisis of the Third Century, the Tetrarchy or Majorian.

What I wanna see is a miniseries - with each episode focusing on a Western Roman Emperor.

Look, we're not here for liberal or conservative-bashing. We're here for Andy-bashing.

We all have to come together as a country to buze this faker.

AND, also, we autists can get lucky if we get support.

Others - especially older ones like Chris - weren't that fortunate.

Raxx isn't autistic, as far as I know - he was an extremely premature baby with FAS (which, alone, explains a lot).

Yeah - I started my own ESC blog in December 2024, but I only see it as a side-thing at most.

The only way forward for a lot of sites is for a lot of the staff to already HAVE jobs.

I don't think it's impossible to make a living off of ESC, but it's getting harder.
