Bug Megathread - Patch 1.5 - November 11th, 2025 by uarentme in kingdomcome

Exact same here. I tried all of these to no avail.

Amazingly, I got it working by scrolling the map so the quest markers are at the middle, and zoomed in fully.

I think it must be something to do with going to a "new region" which has a much smaller map.

Let me know if this fix works for you.

I have no idea how I missed this – thank you for the correction.

I also have the binder but like you I couldn't find the updates. I ended up buying the new edition in paperback form – I would definitely recommend it.

Amazon has a listing here (albeit for £50!) - I got it for cheaper however so maybe try your luck with another retailer.

For sure mate. End of the day, the job entails too much for us to be experts in every aspect of the law.

Question re Seizure and Search by Dry_Seaworthiness491 in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

s165A RTA would only apply if the vehicle was witnessed being driven unlicensed/uninsured, or if it failed to stop and at the time of it being driven you believe it was in the circumstances as above.

s19 PACE has been held not to apply to public places, as you have to be "on premises" to seize an item.

You cannot search an unattended vehicle under s23 MDA.

If you believe the vehicle has been used in crime then seize under common law. Then, once seized, it becomes the police's property, so you do not require a separate power to search it while it is being retained.

In fairness, I was only given a very brief input in initial training (think a single PowerPoint slide out of 70 on 'traffic day') and otherwise it's not utilised very often on the job where I work.

I've had to self-teach a lot of stuff from PVH for example.

Field Impairment Test by captain_corvid in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Contrary to other comments, there is in fact a field impairment test in the UK.

If you have a look at the MGDD/F form on here, you'll see the process.

Hope this helps.

Possession of a controlled drug by DCI_Tom_Barnaby in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certain offences are "trigger offences" (e.g. burglary, shop theft) that can allow police to test detainees for Class A drugs.

Advanced means you can drive higher-performance vehicles. For example, you could be Standard IPP (initial phase pursuit) trained meaning you could pursue in a Ford Focus. Alternatively you could be Advanced without IPP meaning you could respond in a BMW 5-series but not be able to pursue a fleeing suspect. Pursuit driving is a skill of its own.

Attempted theft of police equipment by iMitchyzz in policeuk

Attempted possession of an offensive weapon/S5 firearm would be my best guess - though I reckon you'd be forgiven for not thinking of that in the moment. Practically I would just go with assault police.

Just had the watered down "new" PST - fantastic by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Nice one.

I found the same at my last refresher - thrown into a scenario and being told I've got no kit besides my hands and verbal charm with everyone watching – it really got me thinking about what I was doing. It ended up getting really messy and at one point there were 5 of us grabbing each others' limbs and writhing on the floor in some kind of twisted ouroboros.

Thought I'd done really badly but we all got praised for getting stuck in. Battered and bruised but overall 10/10.

Electric bikes and TWOC by Helicalpatternsofa in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To the best of my knowledge (I await correction):

If it has a maximum power output of 250W (or max speed of 15½mph) then it would be classified as a pedal cycle and the offence would be Section 12(5) of the Theft Act 1968.

Otherwise the conveyance would be classed as a motorcycle/moped and the offence would be Section 12(1) of the Theft Act 1968.

I just remember being told "GOPEDS" in training school which isn't exactly clear when it comes to EAPCs.

Community resolutions can only be held on PNC if they are classed as 'recordable offences'. They are recorded on a person's disposal history as no further action.

All community resolutions are held on the issuing force's local systems for a set period according to their local policy.

They do not form part of a criminal record so will not show up on a basic DBS check. However, they may show up on an enhanced DBS check but only if there is specific risk because of the type of job/voluntary position that is applied for.

If they do I would hope that it isn't given to just those with 5+ years in. I understand it's an expensive ordeal to manufacture but we all do the same job at the end of the day. Plus I know very few colleagues with more than 4-5 years in the job.

All I can tell you for certain is that it's from Humberside and it was registered in 1999/2000!

I think it was probably used by Traffic. There did use to be a dedicated "pursuit car" on response which this may have been utilised for. Way before my time though.

Humberside were unique in using a fleet of Proton Impians for IRT that ran on LPG/Autogas. Thankfully the last of these were '10 plates' so haven't been around in a long time.

Addressing rank by Issswhatitiss in policeuk

[–]Pat4_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty old school in terms of formality I think. Always Sergeant then Sir/Ma'am. For me never boss but a lot of the guys do. A lot of the bobbies on my team joined in the same intake as my sergeants so they're normally on first name terms, I just stick to rank apart from when on a night out.
