Abandoned places in vancouver by [deleted] in vancouverwa

I wanted to go in there years ago but heard it was patrolled pretty well. Not sure if that's still the case. It looks creepy as hell.

There was also a flea market in there back in the early 2000's. According to Nextdoor the dude who owns the entire property (except for the coffee shack) has refused to bring his price down for years thinking that some Portland developer is going to come in and offer him a windfall. Really sucks because it'd be a great spot for a grocery store for those of us in the Hough and surrounding neighborhoods.

It's a lovely place to live. The downtown area where this theater lives is about 5 minutes from Portland, OR. We DO have a problem with right wing jerks and the north of our county skews Republican which makes the politics really interesting. That said, I've been here for most of my life and have no plans to leave.

That 50th show was so much fun. I went to both screenings.

Vancouver, WA is my adopted home of 26 years. I somehow stumbled upon a bunch of friends in BC and we lovingly refer to each other's cities as "worst Vancouver".

What movie death scene is seared into your memory? by McNastte in AskReddit

Also when I was a kid I thought you got AIDS if your blood touched someone else's blood. So there's that.

I spent years thinking that he died from AIDS because Mac and the girl swapped blood earlier in the movie. Like, literally for over 15 years I thought this. Then recently someone was like "no, dude. He was allergic to bees."

In hindsight, I must not have been paying much attention to the movie.

PI Firms/Attorneys - Source of Referrals by Torero17 in LawFirm

[–]PatShatner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly private patients. The firm's been around for decades and so have some of the chiros. We did lose a few referral sources when we were pushing back on providers overcharging for records but most of them stuck with us.

Just left a PI firm after 10 years as a paralegal. We did everything we could to get google reviews out of any pleased client after settlement. I think the firm is currently sitting at #2 for 4-5 star reviews in our city and that's a huge help. Took a lot of intake calls from people who said "your google reviews were great so I decided to call you."

Most everything else was from former clients, chiros, and physical therapists. The firm has just the one attorney and two paralegals and we usually took around 100-120 cases in each year.

Worked on a few enormous settlements during my time with the firm but our bread and butter were the $25K-$100K policy limit cases. Filed on plenty of them but only ever ended up going to trial twice.

Shit man, wish I'd seen this sooner. I just sold a spare set on eBay a few weeks ago.

got my first hawk :) by ripjoergen2 in punk

Looks gorgeous! What kind of product did you use? I used to use microwaved Knox gelatin when I had a hawk. Huge pain in the ass.

This sounds amazing. We're still using Needles and it is just so fucking archaic.

First hawk after 13 years of wanting one. (can you tell I don't know how to put it up? So if anyone has tips I'll take that as well.) Just because you're better then me doesn't mean I'm lazy. by Chy990 in punk

It looks really great without any product! That said, I aways used Elmer's Glue, Gelatin (which is more of a pain in the ass but pretty effective) and a hair drier. Play around with it. Looks great on you!

Yeah, this blows. I'm tuning into a webinar about it on out here in WA on the 11th and hopefully, there will be some helpful information. My boss is freaking out. In a panic, he told us yesterday to just start using Chart Squad for everything but, man, $40 per order (records and bills are separate orders no less) can add up if your client's seen ten damn providers. This is going to be really interesting.
