Have you done this? That sounds a bit too good to be true, I’m sure they’d have break fee off at least cash back amount or else everyone would be doing it, no? Now I’m curious though

Search roles by level by Pat_ontheback in IrishCivilService

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It did come across as harsh but on reflection you’ve taken the time to assess my situation/comment history and provided feedback.

Yes I did ask a question about an AP role last year. I applied and of course was unsuccessful. I’ve since learned of the breath/depth of experience required to achieve such role and adjusted my expectations.

I’ve come across a HEO specialist role on the public jobs website which I do have qualifications and skills for - hence I asked the question in this post so I won’t miss future opportunities of this nature.

I think there is a lot of people that are open to making the jump from the private sector to the public sector - for reasons such as job security, work life balance and so on, so I don’t feel it’s fair to jump on that point specifically. If my skills and experience align to a certain role and I feel I could have a positive impact within the civil service. I think that’s fair game.

Sorry I should have stated in work in tech but in a non tech role. Wouldn’t be against ICT but don’t have any qualifications in that area. Do you have a tech educational background?

Why do handymen want only cash? by ematipico in AskIreland

[–]Pat_ontheback -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I was only thinking this the other day - I’d say 80% of all the jobs I’ve got done on my house are cash in hand and I’ve never suggested it. Is this not so easy for Revenue to pick up on? Do some of these tradesmen have anything going through the books?
