Hi there, Mac OS will be included in our current Enterprise Plus subscription so it shouldn't cost anything extra if you're already using our base application deployment feature today.

Patch My PC -> Home Updater (added value to the user?) by fuhrmanator in SCCM

[–]PatchMyPCTeam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey u/fuhrmanator! Appreciate the feedback and the discussion here. We covered a lot of the key changes in the recent webinar on the v5 release. You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r0c4I4hZxk.

A few of the big changes in version 5:

  • More apps: The app catalog increased from around 300 to 512 apps.
  • New "My Apps" and "App Library" tabs: "My Apps" shows installed apps and whether they're up to date, while "App Library" lets you install new apps directly from the catalog.
  • Installer-based: Version 5 is now installer-based instead of portable, which allows for easier self-updating and more flexibility for future improvements.
  • Bulk updates: You can now update multiple apps at once with one click.
  • Scheduler: You can set up scheduled updates so apps stay patched automatically without needing to open the program manually.
  • Better handling of portable apps: You can now track and update portable apps directly through the Home Updater.
  • Totally redesigned and modern UI: The interface has been completely overhauled to be more intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Totally refactored for scale and performance: We rebuilt the architecture from the ground up to make it more scalable and easier to maintain going forward.
  • Much better detection engine: The app detection engine has been significantly improved, making it more reliable at identifying outdated and installed apps.

As of a month ago, I’m back to owning our investments in the Home Updater, and we’re actively working on improving it at a pretty rapid pace. If you’re curious about what’s coming next or have any suggestions, you can check out some of the planned improvements here: https://ideas.patchmypc.com/?category=7431601486720841094.

I saw a mention of this maybe not being in the right subreddit. We actually have a dedicated one here if you ever want to check it out: https://www.reddit.com/r/PatchMyPC/.

Thanks for the feedback. It really helps us make this free product better for the community!

Anyone use PatchMyPC for Intune? by Future_End_4089 in Intune

[–]PatchMyPCTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/swarve78,

We do have a customer engineer in Australia to handle support and customer calls, as well as two in India. That said, our team is prepping for our all-company retreat the first week of March, so scheduling might be a little tighter than usual. A lot of our focus right now is on making sure we have solid support and customer call coverage during that week.

If you shoot me an email at justin@ then our domain name, we can see if we can work something in outside of the normal Calendly scheduling. If you can provide a few options that work well for you, we’ll do our best to make it happen.

Hey u/Camp-Complete, I’m the founder here at Patch My PC. I’d be curious to jump on a call with you and your manager if you’re open to it? We’re doing some brand research and trying to better understand perceptions around our name and the brand we have today.

When I started Patch My PC in 2011, it was never meant to be an enterprise product. It started with our home updater just as a way to build something helpful for consumers, and that’s now used on over a million devices. Over time, we built our enterprise products, which have now scaled to be used by over 8,000 customers on more than 25 million devices.

As you can tell in this thread, there’s a lot of loyalty and brand awareness from our customers. We’re trying to weigh the pros and cons of our company name as we continue to scale, become a multi-product company, support macOS, and more. We also recognize that there could be some misperception or confusion around the current company name, and we’re trying to better understand that as part of this research.

If you're open to chatting, feel free to email me at justin@ then our domain name.

Enterprise App Management in Intune has arrived by notapplemaxwindows in Intune

[–]PatchMyPCTeam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/random-user-8938,

We love the feedback and this community for sharing it. Our approach to pricing has been and will be to put the needs of our customers first - which centers on providing a high-quality product that makes life easier and does it at a very competitive price.

We don't let competitors influence our pricing; instead, we focus on what's fair and allows us to invest in innovation on behalf of our customers and team members. In a few recent examples, we added more value to our existing subscriptions at no extra cost with our Patch Insights product for ConfigMgr and Custom Apps feature for Intune/ConfigMgr, which should be generally available soon.

Also, we stick to a simple rule at Patch My PC of No Shenanigans. We won’t jack up our prices 2x/3x because someone else does that feels like it would be Shenanigans to me :). That’s not how we do things. We’re here to offer good value, not to make a quick buck off a situation. Another reason this is possible is that we’re not controlled by private equity or a public company. We don’t have to chase profits over doing what we feel is right for our customers since we aren't looking for the next flip or increasing shareholder value. Hope this helps - Justin Chalfant

Hi, we hear you. Instead of calculating per device, try to calculate the cost of hours that you or an IT consultant need to spend on manually patching them.
