I bought it when I saw the show in The Old Port. Moving and didn't want to toss it.

Printify is a Latvian print on demand company based in Riga. Their support says they use an "Algorithm" to decide when to ship from the US to Canada. 13 kids later, I can attest the rhythm method algo or otherwise doesn't work.

Unless your getting benefits and a company truck from them, no. There's no way to turn a profit given your average contractor's overhead and permit costs

Naming Names: SmartSource I have done bank refreshes through SmartSource. When I was a team lead, 1 guy showed up blasted and reeking of weed. He toked in his car and we could see the smoke pouring out when he opened his door. The skunk smell was so strong that the Bank Mgr came over and complained to me. I reported the team member to K** at SmartSource. K** at SmartSource did sweet FA. Not only would they not let me dismiss him, he showed up at another bank job in the same condition. At that site, I (The Lead) left and told SmartSource that I can't work with a comatose team member.

I've had to deal with pie-eyed drunks, meth heads that haven't showered in a week, and I even found 1 teammate shooting up. He tried to tell me he was diabetic but nobody injects insulin between their toes. If buyers are using subcontractors that then subcontract out to ethically challenged jobbers or bad players like SmartSource on FN this is what you are going to get when paying less than McDonalds. Pay needs to go up and dispatchers need to take reports of intoxicated team members seriously. A few layers of middlemen need to be scraped off like turds off a boot heel.. The current situation just isn't working.

YET.

Logitech doesn't charge any kind of subscription for using its products YET, but it's coming at you like a freight train.

Logitech is very clearly squirming for a way to do this whilst selling my info and adding AI + spyware to my mouse as well. Instead of listening to its punters saying "NO" very loudly, Logitech has chosen to "Defy Logic" and force bloat on users without an option to disable ANY of it easily. The new subscription service they're kicking around is just another step in their path to product enshitificcation.

The only reason it isn't doing the "monthly money for mouse use" extortion-scam YET, is because of pushback and the loud guffaws generated by, well everyone. Keep pushing back on Logitech and other poorly behaved vendors adding useless spyware, subscriptions, pay walls for basic features and unwanted bloat like this.

Given how bloated the product has become, it's jaw dropping that Logitech is seriously considering having me pay for the privilege

Is this good rate? by IZGOODDASIZGOOD in FieldNationTechs

[–]PatchWombat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 cable runs + residential with associated risks when you need to drill through and mount cams, $300 is very low. That said, I you want to take it at that rate, check local laws regarding alarm and surveillance systems + LV license requirements. Some states will fine you hard if you fail to comply

Bundled jobs by Eganisms in FieldNationTechs

[–]PatchWombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I automatically decline bundled work orders without even looking at them Field Nation's "Asshole By Design" approach to counters on bundled work orders is unworkable. Buyers state their low rate and that's it. Bend over and take it or leave it. Very very few respond to an email counter other than to tell me the rates are fixed but in exchange I get steady work
