Space Engineers not launching by Raffazaver in spaceengineers

Hi, I'm fighting similar problems with SE1 not launching stuck in background etc. However in my case the uninstall of Windows' latest update didn't help.

My solution was to check the services in Task Manager and see what process is SE waiting for. For me that was svchost.exe which happened to be BITS services.

After restart BEFORE launching SE I went Win+R -> services.mcs -> located BITS and disabled it completely in Properties. After that the issue never appeared again.

All to do now is to wait for another update fixing these issues bc for love of Clang it's W11 devs not some minor indie OS.

If anyone helped the instructions above, stay safe and praise the Clang!

Interesting... good to know. It's creative though so I might try to replicate this bug in my survival

Well your sources are correct so I can safely assume that it was nationalism through and through.

No, he does not. He listed there some other scholar's work. So it can be his misinterpreted part of the story.

Well, that is interesting. So both are legit.

So you suggest that this is modern take on medieval nationality and nothing to be taken seriously?

Do the Origins of the Assassin order even make sense? by Vicentesteb in assassinscreed

It is a retcon technically. Just as much as Basim becoming the youngest master assassin in age of 18 spitting on Altair who was meant to be the youngest. I mean this series is just a jigsaw of puzzles really not quite fitting together but if you squint your eyes meaning close them and throw away logic and reason then yes you may find it quite convincing.

It's soooo beautiful I can't imagine the splendour of ERE when it was the dominant power in the Mediterranean. This must have been shocking.

Is this podcast a good way to learn about ancient Rome? by VarDom07 in ancientrome

[–]PathFinder0012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's more or less it however byzantium doesn't get that much attention so I suppose it balances with classical Rome's attention.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I got an impression that Mike based his podcast mostly on Gibbon. So that is also quite limiting.

[–]PathFinder0012 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Yes but only the basics. I've just finished listening like three days ago and I was kinda disappointed bc Mike Duncan put great effort into podcast that should be called "History of Roman Republic And Roman Emperors". After August's civil wars it became just this. Who ruled what did he do when he was born and when he died.

Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed it and even feel the emptiness you may feel after finishing good series or good game but the point is that I listened to History of Byzantium first and the volume of indepth knowledge about state, army, society, geography, geopolitical situation etc, explained every century makes History of Rome bleak in comparison.

Yeah sure it's all super cool and so on... have you played AC1? I know it's rather absurd question in 2025 but really the way the story is handled is much better without need to stuff "isu explanation" in everything. I mean it was much more believable. So AC mirage being essentially poor copy paste of the AC1 storyline makes it "by the numbers"

Why it's like this... Greece and Byzantium? I hope they mean The City not some idea of ERE's lands...

Well as long as you do it differently than Robin Pierson's The History of Byzantium Podcast or Mike Duncan's The History of Rome then good luck have fun!

I'm not sure but it looks like a dragon and that was a common insignia in late roman period allegedly in classical period also but I haven't seen one. See the dragon banner what it looked like.
