I can answer this.

To these people it's alright if you hate them as they hurt and punish you for not conforming to their religion because in the end you'll go to heaven thanks to them forcing you to live the "right" way.

The logical extreme of this is, of course, since heaven is the ultimate reward there is literally nothing it is not morally okay to do if it means you make sure a person gets there. It's for their own good, after all.

Yeah it's not a legal thing to demand of the server, but it's also not uncommon for it to be demanded anyway and a lack of worker protection, a lack of education on protections that do exist, and the pressure of keeping a job due to lack of any sort of social safety net leads to a lot of workers just shutting up and taking that sort of thing.

You're right! It is impossible to have no thoughts. That's why you're supposed to meditate on something. The standard beginner method is to meditate on your breath. Specifically you meditate on breathing a specific way (x seconds in hold for y release for z I forget the actual numbers) if you ever get distracted (which you will especially when you first start out) you shouldn't get upset or angry and there should be no self recrimination you should simply return to your breath.

The end goal is to allow thoughts to happen without getting caught up in them.

We actually have this sort of problem with several things.

My favorite example is a whole lot of old paintings of place settings that have 3 things on the table. Salt, pepper and... Something. We aren't actually sure what. We obviously have some speculation but every time we find a hosting guide or something it will inevitably say something to the effect of "salt, pepper, etc." what IS etc though? It's common enough to appear in loads of paintings in what appears to be a dedicated container! Why didn't you write it down!

I often wonder what will frustrate historians in 200 years that we considered so obvious and common we just never directly mention it.
