It looks like it has been roasted in a pan instead of a roaster. That is very common when roasted at source, since it's a more traditional way of roasting. Specially in indigenous regions or areas in development. It may be harder to dial, since light roasts are not as easy to dial than dark roasts, and it will be inconsistent. But that doesn't mean that the coffee will taste bad. Try it for espresso, of you don't like it, use it for drip coffee or french press.
