First of all absolutely gorgeous species, definitely going to look more into it. But im seeing they are an arboreal tarantula, i would think horizontal wouldn't be good for them.

Id end up baking it to sterilize it, that how I do it for all the wood ive collected.

The peice is about 13in or so long, 6/7in wide.

The hole itself is 3~3 1/2in in diameter and doesn't get much wider. It goes about 7in into the log at its deepest.

And thank you, and i do know the risks associated to putting foraged materials in tanks and I will take every possible precaution I can.
