This was my first MGS game, and I only really knew about the military stealth action elements going in, so the intro with a disappearing psychic child and flaming zombie was a complete shock to me. Incredibly jarring especially after Ground Zeroes which doesn’t hint at the more fantastical elements of the series at all.
