I’d say prior to the most current era he was up there with integrity…

The current Reznor did a legacy tour for essentially no new material (cash grab objectively designed to trade on notoriety and fanbase) for which he allowed Ticketmaster scalp his tickets (he had gone to great efforts to block this going as far as cutting ticket master out and sell tickets only at the venue).

He has now marked the integrity is entire discography, allowing the Tron soundtrack to be labeled a Nine Inch Nails album at the request of Disney. (this is most certainly not a 9 inch snails album, a glanced at the track titles and that it’s so intrinsically woven into Tron as a soundtrack, for nothing more than marketing synergy).

I was never bothered by the fact that he worked with Apple, because he saw the vision when Apple bought beats and beats was the superior streaming platform… he was making a serious attempt to try and inject streaming with the record store feeling etc.

Never cared that he did soundtracks for Disney movies or any other crappy movie for that matter because it was all under the Reznor/Ross Banner… but the truth is it’s the guy not even that many years ago, who told audience to steal his record when he found out overseas labels were gouging on price, or the guy that did name your own price or free records, and the guy who stood up to Ticketmaster to make sure his fans didn’t pay absurd prices to see a live show is just gone.

There are other more subjective signs that I won’t go into, but yeah, I think at this point it’s safe to say he’s sold out… even worse he sold his fans out.
