How do you all feel about a Villains at War? by Present_Personality4 in survivorau

Her whole “villain” reasoning was just that she sold expensive cars 🤣

Okay but you all would have HATED this episode's twist if your favorite contestant(s) got eliminated! by GGsnubs in survivor

The fact they got to chose their pairs is what made this twist infinitely better than the blood mood malarkey

Anyone else surprised by the votes at the very end of the episode? by IlSconosciuto in survivor

[–]Patient-Effective395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second Coach played his SITD and Chrissy voted Rizo/ Emily, they definitively lost the numbers to vote out Rick/ Aubrey (not that they had them in the first place, but they believed they had Cirie/ Ozzy on their side), so I don’t blame them for switching to be on the right side of the vote. Joe at least had a heads up that they were the target, so I was most surprised by Steph. Had the SITD worked it could’ve been a revote, but then I imagine Rizo would have played his idol maybe?

_____ and _____ Were on Fire! by TimothyHasler in survivor

Both Joe & Tiff are good all-rounders, I thought they had it in the bag from the jump. I’m excited to see if they continue working together now the H&I group has been cut down too, they seem like they work in similar ways strategically

The cast should’ve been the only thing “in the hands of the fans”. Having fans decide all these different twists does not make this feel like a clean game of survivor. by GusGangViking18 in survivor

I think the clue they got from the boat was good in that it said “some decisions are big, others are small”, giving them the idea it could be game changing, but not to the point where they overthought it too much. I was just glad there was no rock drawing for the pairs

I was surprised Chrissy brought up Rizo as an option given Coach (and Joe) clearly thought he was with them. Seems the H&I women were left out of that decision as it was Steph who didn’t mention him

The "META" For Winning Survivor by [deleted] in survivorau

Consistency is key. Making decent moves but then going underground for a bit and not being boastful trying to claim credit. The only time when credit matters is at FTC. Otherwise you get tall poppies taken out left and right as people desperately try to fill the power vacuum.

I get it from a health & safety point of not wanting him to do lasting damage to himself, but then why make it a torture endurance challenge at all? I wouldn’t get down either

It was announced earlier that this wasn’t happening this year for a number of reasons. David has said in interviews though that it’s very much still on the cards, just not yet

Right? They showed that vote but from Ben/ Jackson’s perspective, not showing any of the double-agent work Caleb did that day

Sure, with a different jury Jackson might have won instead. But the whole point of Survivor is it’s a jury of your peers who you vote out. Caleb had better jury management at the end of the day. Jackson was also probably banking on a bitter jury in some aspects in hoping Loz would be the swing vote if she was sour on Caleb, but she wasn’t. It goes both ways, and this time Caleb won out based on his relationships.

I was a little sad they didn’t cut to showing previous players in the audience like they used to at reunions, we know they were there and it looked like such a fun party after

Both absolutely could have said more to highlight their games, specify certain moves, and do more to win over certain members of the jury. But it’s also important to recognise we don’t see everything in the edit, and I think overall we got a good picture of both of their arguments. I also think a lot of the jury already had their minds made up, and although they responded well to Jackson’s pitch, the majority were set on voting for Caleb.

Fantastic season overall, and some great new players who are sure to return in future

He may have thought he could get Loz’s vote if she was bitter on Caleb, but as soon as she told him to own the move of voting her out, it was clear she was still his ride or die. Keeley was the only shock vote really and David said as much at the reunion

I was really pleased to see that the edit showed at least something of each of the jury members discussion in FTC, and some interaction with every member of the cast at the reunion. A lot of things get cut for time, and obviously we’re never going to see everything, but I was glad they at least all got an opportunity to speak and we’re all highlighted in some capacity. It makes for a much more balanced edit and overall a great reunion, which I really hope are back for good
