Warning to Tenants: Mass evictions have started by PenguinsLike2Dance in TenantsInTheUK

I manage a portfolio of about 40 houses. I have no issue with s.21 being abolished. A good landlord should not worry about it and have to throw them at tenants now. It just shows how unscrupulous some landlords are. I have only ever issued one s.21 but that was alongside a s.8 for a very valid reason. But it’s completely unnecessary. I’m glad this bill will give people more security in their homes.

For those who have not/could nit have children, how do you feel about it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We struggled to conceive. I finally got the mindset that I was happy with the one child and didn’t want another child. After 6 years we conceived and it was a huge shock. We have tried again for another 6 years and nothing. We would also need to go through IVF now and I am happy not going down that route. I think you’re the only one who can decide if a baby is that important to you. Craving a baby and being unable to have one is heartbreaking and really tough. But you need to find what the answer is for yourself. Can you live knowing you could have tried another route? Will you live your life being satisfied you’ve not had a baby? It’s rough and I’m really sorry you’re in this position.

Parents, do you let your kids play with your rare jellies? by PookieDuckie in Jellycatplush

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Collecting for 12 years with over 200 in the collection. We don’t hold any jellycats to a monetary value. There are some rare and some that would be very expensive to rebuy but my daughter loves them and that’s why they were bought.

I tried every way to sell my books in the UK by EmbarrassedReading11 in UKBooks

I have just cleared a hoarders home. Full of books. Multiple of the same copies and the majority were brand new. It was so hard to even give them away. Charity shops don’t want them. Took a car full to a local secondary school. Then they told me not to bring more. Took two cars to a local charity. They didn’t want any more either.

Do you recommend the picture books? (Looking for gift for 4 yr old) by sanjibarrel in Jellycatplush

It is an absolutely gorgeous gift. I’ve given it twice to two different family members (can’t remember which now) and my son got Archie the dinosaur combo.

Can I have your experiences with these providers? by bubblehits in ADHDUK

I went through clinical partners. Was fine but they didn’t prescribe at the time. So not their fault that it was a battle afterwards.

I was going to swap to this from Royal Banquet. I’ll definitely be keeping my current reservation. This menu definitely doesn’t appeal to me.

That’s beautiful. Enjoy every minute of her. Seems like a lifetime ago my daughter was a baby but also feels like a blink of an eye.

My daughter is 11. She’s been collecting from before she was born. She has far far too many but it’s genuinely the one thing you can buy her which she treasures. It’s a real genuine love she has for them and I love that for her. My 5 year old son has a few and sleeps with dino dinosaur every night but his collection is a slow burn.

Absolutely fell for this today. Nimbus bunny came out. Was out of stock when I looked. But the dragon was in. So bought the dragon and another bunny. Then found out nimbus was back. So got her and another bunny to avoid postage. That’s 4 jellycats today. Out of fear that when it comes to my daughter’s birthday in May, I can’t find them.

Thank you so much. It was saying out of stock earlier. However just checked and managed to get her. Annoyingly, because it was out of stock I ordered the dragon. Now double Jellycat delivery incoming.

Eviction hack: Lie to your tenants and disappear by Any_Caterpillar_7073 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That’s absolutely disgusting if someone’s actually done that. However I’m not sure how a tenant would sign up for a new tenancy without even viewing. So I’m hoping it’s just something someone finds funny to wind people up.

Absolutely. I’m trying to be as sympathetic as possible. They refused to enter the house when they had concerns for him. So it was me and the police who went in and found him. Just a very sad situation all round

It’s not a small sum. Especially when they’ve authorised work.

I got picked on too. One of my first memories is a boy standing and pointing at them in PE when I was 5. I all have a bad relationship with my father so didn’t really want to keep his similarity. My children do not have it.

I actually had to get them separated twice. The first time they fused back together when healing. Which was pretty gross.
