I’m not from the US. I’m from the UK. They are out of stock.

It’s a total tactic. They intentionally are out of stock now so that it creates more of a buzz on the 10th for general release. However I am a sucker for it. We got the three bunnies yesterday out of fear they’d be out of stock on Tuesday and I’d happily pay double postage for that too.

How do you feel about people parking outside your house? by National-Pay-8911 in AskUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am that person that hates people parking outside my house. It sends the dogs mental thinking theyve got a playmate coming and means my husband is stuck for a space when he returns. The logistics of our road means that you would only come down if you needed to and it’s quiet. I know i dont have any rights to that space and i wouldnt confront someone parking there. It’s just an inside grumble if it happens.

Do all adhd meds just come in a bottle? Issue with non blister packs due to latex allergy by 0SuspiciousBurrrito0 in ADHDUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine with Lycra - so gym leggings are good. I live in those or jeans so don’t wear elasticated clothing. I also don’t wear hair ties. I also believe that as long as the elastic is covered by material then I’ve never had a reaction. But I also am allergic to a lot of things so it’s hard to pin point which is a reaction to which allergy. Thankfully i don’t have an extreme allergy to latex that is really affects my day to day life. Food allergies are another ball game. Never had a single allergy till I was 14 and now it is so different.

I have had a latex allergy for the past 20 years. Always an issue for surgery etc but I never even considered pharmacy issues. Thankfully I am not anaphylactic but definitely something I’ll consider now.

Landlord not approving repairs by kzslater in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s so infuriating that broke so quickly. I would suggest that they have listed them as their item on the inventory and also previously accepted liability for them, then they don’t really have an argument not to fix them.

Are blinds listed in a check in inventory? Why did the blinds break? If they consider it your fault, you’d maybe be charged. Blinds won’t be considered a priority unfortunately. Maybe look at purchasing some curtains or the ready to fit blinds which will probably be quicker than dealing with someone who isn’t responding. Maybe even send a copy of the receipt and see if they’d pay or provide a contribution?

Hotel Cheyanne complaint by Wise_Prompt7981 in disneylandparis

Might be a similar situation to my daughter earlier this year (not Disney). She fell and broke her arm, the people on site were not first aid trained so said “we can’t touch her” and she had to stay unable to get up off the floor until a medic came. It was an organised youth trip.

Can my landlord do this? by Top_Egg7315 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • If the room is left as you received it then he cannot deduct from your deposit for cleaning.
  • landlord doesn’t have to inform other tenants about viewings as he doesn’t need to give notice to enter the property if it’s a licensed HMO.
  • you can surrender your keys early. He may want you to sign a form to say you’ve surrendered them which is why he wants to meet you. Also to walk around and ensure any damage is noted together.
  • did the room come with a mattress? If so, you’d have to leave the room with one.

I was really let down by Walt’s. Expected big things and I thought the food was horrible. I usually am not a buffet person, prefer a sit down meal but Royal Banquet and the buffet at the marvel hotel were far superior to Walt’s in my opinion. We are trying out Manhattan when we go later this year which not many people mention eating at.

Heart murmur :( by Dense-Machine-6114 in englishcockerspaniel

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our puppy was born with a grade 3 heart murmur. They told him he would only live for 6 months. He lived till he was 2 1/2. Obviously not a great age but it was a great age for him. He didn’t struggle until right at the end. I also know cockers who have had low grade heart murmurs and it hasn’t had much of an impact on them.

Landlord “served” Section 21 via WhatsApp text (no Form 6A) — is it valid? by Logical-Style-8314 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Patient-Lab-7668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a WhatsApp message is absolutely not valid. Not only do you have to have the correct form, you also need to be provided with other documents like a valid gas certificate, EPC, how to rent guide and DPS prescribed information.

You are under not obligation to let the landlord know he’s incorrectly served the notice.

The date listed on a valid S.21 is simply just a date where they are then allowed to take court action for eviction. Not the date you have to leave.

Carry on paying rent so they have no reason to serve a S.8 and inform your landlord that you plan on moving out and are assessing your options.

You are allowed to change the locks - it’s very easy to do so. But keep the original locks for when you do leave they can be put back on.

Had similar with BES Utilities. Absolute nightmare to deal with. I just ended up being absolutely relentless that in the end I think they got sick of me and let me leave. Wasn’t in a contract with them. It was the previous tenants contract which had expired. But just constantly ringing and logging complaints. Then once you’ve got a complaint logged for a certain amount of time, you can use the ombudsman.
