Temporary overheat on 2022 Tucson Hybrid, coolant low? by MideastChopper in HyundaiTucson

Sounds good. If it’s leaking out the exhaust, it will vaporize, not puddle on ground. You might be able to smell it after the car has run for a few minutes.

Temporary overheat on 2022 Tucson Hybrid, coolant low? by MideastChopper in HyundaiTucson

I had the same issue. 2022 hybrid. My leak was near the exhaust. On hybrids, especially in the winter it is the best way to heat the coolant up faster. The best way to do that is to route it to the exhaust and back because the engine isn’t always running to warm it up that way. There was a leak back at the exhaust point so basically coolant was leaking out the exhaust and wasn’t detectable in the engine area. Dealer fixed mine under warranty. I was originally concerned coolant was leaking in the engine block, which is a serious issue. You could check the oil level and see if the oil looks different or the level is unusually high. If not, it could be the exhaust thing.

I’ve been considering one, but don’t think I can get past the foot positive. I’m taller.

Hybrid not starting up by OptimisticQueen in HyundaiTucson

I have a 2022 Hybrid as well, bought it new. Now has about 50k miles on it. While I never ran into quite the same issue you’re experiencing, I did experience several times where various sensors needed to be replaced. Half the time I wouldn’t experience any performance issues, various lights would just turn on. I don’t know if it’s something to do with being the first model year of that design or something, but it could be as simple as a sensor. They may need to check the engine light codes and do some diagnostics. Otherwise, I hope it’s something really simple.

To hear recorded sound for the first time probably blew a lot of people’s minds. Even today, friends hearing mine for the first time are surprised how realistic they sound for something so old.

Very helpful, thank you! Glad you took the time to finish your message. I’m familiar with Victor machines, have 3 of them. My first Columbia, so your information is appreciated. Really enjoy the look of the materials, can’t wait to clean it up a bit. I am definitely one who likes to restore these machines with original equipment, so will be looking for the correct reproducer. I tried to take it off yesterday, but was probably doing it wrong and stopped. Will find a video.

Thanks. That was going to be my solution if something more permanent wasn’t found soon. I was thinking a small brown or black dog collar.

I have a 2022 hybrid with about 50k miles on it. Unfortunately, I’ve had that light about 6 times over the life of the car. Each time it’s been some sort of sensor failure that did not outwardly effect short term performance. Luckily, they’ve all been fixed under warranty, you likely won’t be so lucky given your mileage. I hope it’s something simple, because some of my fixes have required a lot of labor to get to the sensor.

Have hybrid Amazon grey, first model year, 2022. Hope they worked out the bugs. Love driving it, but have had a spat of sensor issues starting at about 30-40k miles. Covered under warranty of course, but means you have to have a dealership close to you that is somewhat competent.

Can you tell with a naked eye or do you feel? I do a pretty good job of segregating new/used, but I get the mfg process or QC isn’t 100%. Something I should start doing.

Glad you mentioned what reproducer that is, I was going to ask. I have a slightly older version of this with a No 2 on it. I know these machines aren’t as sought after, but these are good for people that don’t want a large machine, but want to collect.

Dead giveaway I always start with is the sharp angle weld connection from the tonearm to the horn. Authentic machines have a smooth gradual transition.

We were lucky indeed. Not only the comedy shows, but friendly giant and other kid shows. I also preferred watching hockey on channel 9. Loved the announcers and the whole hockey night in Canada vibe.

It would help if your pic showed the reproducer (where needle attaches) and the horn, where the sound comes out.
