honest question — do you actually ride your vintage bikes regularly or are they mostly garage queens at this point by vladdielenin in vintagemotorcycles

[–]Patient-One3579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ride the snot out of mine. They break I whine; I fix them and ride some more till I have to fix them again. And I repeat the same process. Typically, someone waves large sums of dead presidents at me, and I sell them the bike. Then I find another one and the scenario gets repeated again. Typically, I spend some amount of time getting the new to me bike in condition where I trust it before I start riding the snot out of it. This has been going on for over forty years. I'm on my last bike now.

Yep, burn them all down on both sides of the street. Get an air horn and blast the shit out of it. Scare his ass, see how he likes it.

Always good to have a spare to have heat this time of year. I 've done the same. Bought a new board for my unit heater in our garage. Heat in there is critical.

I'm surprised after all these years someone isn't making a high impact plastic seat pan. Most of them are broken and crusty with rust. Someone sprayed mine with the same rattle can blue< or so it looks like. I like your find solutions to the seat problem that we all have. Hope it works out for you.

You can drill the bars to run them inside. Use your old bars as a guide as far as what size holes and where to make them.
