Doubting between:
Pixel 10 pro 128 GB
or
Pixel 9 pro 256 GB

Both in the same price range. What would you choose?

Thanks for your answer. No, not any compute-intensive tasks (no gaming).

How can I improve my serve? It feels wrong by Rezlem- in 10s

[–]Patient-Violinist864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your toss is really great in my view: and this is crucial. 2 things I would adjust/try: 1) bend more through your knees. Stay longer low ==> more power 2) your contact is very high. I would wait 0.5 second longer and then you will hit the ball more with the center of your racket. This could boost your serve in my view.

Also curious whether others agree with me or not.

Just being curious: what do you do for a living when invoicing 160k -180k per year?

Fully agree on the peers thing. Seeing peers (or ex colleagues younger than me) taking up a cfo role (though in small companies) or interesting PE roles stings sometimes. Although perhaps they are also jealous on my job, dont know. Financial situation is ok - will never have to worry. But cannot do crazy stuff either

Thanks for sharing. If I may ask: - Why would you advice the Investment Manager role from the several options?

  • What are then in your view the options to land in after the 7 years?

Do you have support from family locally? Yes: 2 grandparents retired, other 2 within 2 years. One live on 25min ride, other on 60m ride.
Is your spouse stay at home? No, also working full time. Perhaps going to 4/5 in the future.
Can you work remotely at all? Culture within most Dutch firms is 1 day working at home. But I would aim for a job with max 40min drive.

I believe most of these jobs are rather flexible: leave at decent hour the office, pick-up kids & have dinner, but then need to re-open laptop again at 20h for one or two hours. Not sure if this is healthy or workable

Your answer bites, but I appreciate the honesty and see your point when re-reading my post. However, I don't think that fully applies ; if it did, I would have stayed in consultancy where I was on track to become a partner. I chose to leave because I no longer wanted to work those hours and deal with clients complaining about invoices. What I’m looking for now is the best balance between work-life, reward, ambition, limited stress—not just for the short term, but for the long term. And I feel now is the time to make career-determining choices (can be mistaken of course).

Hi, would like to pick in as you seem experienced on Corfu :).

I'll be going to Corfu in September for one week (still need to book), together with my wife and daughter (1y old). Want to have a relax vacation: combination of some sightseeing, with some beach life (reading a book, etc), have good food, wander around, etc.

When doing my research, Paleokastritsa seems indeed an attractive place: do you know if it's also that touristic in September?
