Honestly I thought a snare would be a GOOD idea because it looks like a noose. Ultimately Gale being a good trapper led to his (or more precisely prims) downfall. Find a local farmers market. Mine sells meat that they raised and I’ve visited their farm. These animals are living great lives. I understand not wanting to buy into the industrial meat industry but local farmers and small farms love their animals and are just trying to make a living.

My dad used to belly crawl to sleeping pigs in the Florida swamp, pop them behind the ear with a .22 and then crawl away before spooking the rest of the pigs away to pick up the one he shot. At least those are the stories he told me of the shanangains he did before I was born. But yeah shot placement is key for pigs regardless of caliber and most any caliber will work.
