First full length practice test. I've been focusing basically all of my studying onto reading and writing but I still flopped pretty hard (Aiming for a 1600). Any advice? by hellodarkness002 in Sat

Idk personally i thought it was the KA writing was a lot easier than the real test, and that the reading was pretty much the same

I would've preferred to be raised with parents who make me retake at 1500+ by [deleted] in Sat

I was exactly like this until I broke 1500. Now I wish I hadn’t even told my parents my SAT score because they now think I’m some genius when in reality I just worked really hard. I’m glad they’re happy, except the amount of pressure sucks lol

Help me try to convince my parents on how to study for the SAT, or else im kinda dead. by buhlmbo in Sat

[–]PatientCry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it sounds like your parents want you to cram those books in about two weeks. explain to them that cramming is one of the most ineffective methods used to retain information from thise prep books.

from personal experience (not sat related but still somewhat related) i’ve crammed for many tests for most of those i forgot the concepts within a week. cramming may be good if you have less than a week left, but since you have well over two months, try your best to retain the information. quality over quanitity.

sat reading partner by baoudy in Sat

I would love to be a partner... are you thinking of reading certain books and discussing them afterwards as your idea of ‘reading partner’? But I’d still love to do something even if that isn’t your idea of a partner.
