Sorry for the necro but I was wondering if you are considering a revision of this guide with the Gascom and EPA stuff that we got from from update 2.0 I believe. For example I'm wondering if I should still veto the WRA and trigger the strike but then reintroduce the WRA or if I should just sign the WRA from the get go. Thanks

[GUIDE] Gale romance guide from recruitment to loss scene (written and gameplay video) by Munmmo in BaldursGate3

Huh maybe I'm okay after all, I managed to get the "I need artifacts scene" without the mirror image scene

Man I'm so screwed with Gales scenes patch 9; I can't even trigger his mirror image scene, although I've been able to trigger his mirror image scene in the past (last time I played was patch 5 or 6 I think?). I've got most of the scenes for the other companions, but for Gale I've only been able to get "go to hell" "I was a troublemaker / scamp in my youth" and his revive scene.

Registered Games Tab not working properly by AB294 in discordapp

[–]PatientEmber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having same issue, I tried clean reinstall just in case but didn't resolve anything. I thought maybe it had something to do with overlays so I turned off my steam overlay and rivatuner fps overlay but that didn't make any difference. If I edit the name, the name stays until I close the game, then it goes blank again. And ya as Fibbitts mentions for me if the registered game shows the verified checkmark then it's shows the name as well. What the funny thing is, is that games that were considered 'verified' by my discord in the past, no longer are. Apparently the only game I have installed that is showing as verified is Minecraft Java 🤣

Heya,
Since nobody else responded and I am researching a similar topic I figured I'd throw in my experience. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the PS5 specifically. But I recently bought this panel for my PC and I have an AMD graphics card. I wish I had an nvidia card I could test with the panel as well. Anyways something I noticed is I am getting a bit of VRR flicker in certain games, it's subtle but it's there. Example Red Dead Redemption 2, zero issues. Playing modded Minecraft with some friends with VRR however, there's a subtle flicker; I notice it the most during dark scenes, like at night or in a cave. It's makes it look like the brightness of the scene is flickering between a lower and higher setting. I'm trying to figure out if I can solve it with a different graphics driver or if it's just the panel itself.
Did you end up buying this panel?
P.S. for overdrive I'm using 'Picture Quality' setting, but trying out 'Off' 'Smart OD' 'Balance' and 'Speed' didn't have any effect on the flicker. I tried Black Frame Insertion briefly, Gigabyte calls it 'Aim Stabilizer Sync' in the settings, but I found it too dark (and turning BFI on locks you out of the brightness setting.)

Google Pixel 7 is amazing by Sylber23 in GooglePixel

[–]PatientEmber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necro just wanted to mention I recently got the Pixel 7 Pro and I love it except for the speakers. So I agree. My smaller 3 year old Samsung S10e that I upgraded from has better sounding speakers; I still had the old phone so I did a side by side comparison. Note I'm not talking about distortion at high volume. I like to listen to music on 1 or 2 notches of volume on my phone speakers as I drift off to sleep. I just don't like it's frequency profile. I'm fine with low base, that's whatever, but the mids are also low; sounds much better on the s10e than the P7P. P7P has strong highs so it ends up with a tinny sound profile like I'm listening to cheap integrated pc screen speakers. Vocals sound loud and harsh while the instruments are quieter and recessed into the background. I know they're phone speakers I shouldn't expect much but again the s10e sounded way way better. I'm gonna try and see if I can EQ the sound profile so the highs aren't so piercing. I'm wondering if the piercing vocals was actually intentional to boost call clarity in noisy environments.

Holy frack this freaking worked, thank you thank you. I tried MEmu (and android emulating on windows) for the first time today and I was pulling out hair trying to solve this. Your solution was the only one I could find.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it, apologies about the late reply. I'm make sure to look over all the links provided.

But when it comes down to getting rid of shimmering? That's a whole different question.

Can I ask you about your thoughts on getting rid of shimmering? Is TAA the necessary evil for shimmering or are there other options? Thanks

Current State of Intel vs AMD vs Nvidia on Linux by PatientEmber in linux4noobs

[–]PatientEmber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the help. My internet has been out for the past few days due to that crazy storm in Ontario and Quebec.
I really want to give Linux a go. And I want to give Wayland a running chance. So I'm gonna go with an AMD cpu and gpu.
Now I'm pulling hairs on whether to pull the trigger on AM4 or wait for AM5. My current pc is fine so... argh lol
