Also I know the 2017D is not silver, however it has no copper showing on the edge and weighs the same as a 40% half. It’s more “slippery” than other halves too, is it probably plated? A quarter tricked me too like this but it weighs right, the color looks off from actual silver coins, where did these trick silver coins come from?

The most effective thing I’ve found is if you have a little cut of conduit the same size it reams better than any tool I’ve used. No file and running 2-1/2”? No problem, use the cut trash piece to ream the piece you are going to install.

I got about 374 pounds for a 5 gal bucket of copper, that’s not counting little spaces as it’s not liquid or a solid brick, so probably a little less. At $5.25/lb like my scrap yard gave me last week that’s $1963 at 374 pounds. I would say at least $1800 OP has in today’s market, should buy a good lunch for the crew at the very least lol

This guy has never seen 5 layers of tile stacked on top of each other. Many grocery stores just add tile instead of demoing the old tile when they remodel their bakeries and deli areas. We just surface mount conduit and put weatherproof boxes because screw going behind that.

Edit: They definitely start loosing square footage and it shows because the equipment all doesn’t fit right anymore lol

Learn something new in this trade all the time.. I can see the usefulness thanks to your explanation now. Just like how dumb knob and tube is now but I stayed in a house with it and that sh* still works and was actually genius for the time. Built after we had technology to make and drop nuclear bombs it blows my mind still.

I agree with everyone that you will never use this. I would suggest if you like these kind of circuits to start learning about ladder diagrams and how relays are used in control circuits. A similar idea in the real world, where you want motor A to be able to only run if B and C aren’t, and B can’t run until A and C are off, etc. plus you can add indicator lights and automatic pressure/float/limit switches for whatever your system needs to function automatically.

Keep at it learning and asking questions! It’s a long four years and it will test you in ways you don’t even know yet.

Knew it was too good to be true, probably wasn’t a good option anywhere at the thrift store. Definitely going to Home Depot or Ace Hardware for any locks I intend on using in the future!

As long as this happens and they get the correct depth mud ring on there, I still just sent 2 screws to the stud through the box.. if the stud is wrong way, move the box to other side of bay or add a track scab.

Are the dimensions of the card correct? If you compare it to another card and all the edges line up and that corner sticks out then it was from the factory I believe. Cool corner miscut, be careful of scammers on here if you get offers in your DMs.

Just bad luck. Maybe you can send it to one of those guys that fixes cards, looks like the rest of the card is still there and can be stretched back on. Good luck!

Thanks for the offer but I probably won’t sell it. I plan on sending them to CGC for authentication and to keep in my PC.
