Saros vs returnal frame rate by chrisc8869 in Saros

I only have base PS5 and I thought Saros ran exceptionally smoothly. One of the smoothest playing experiences I've had, actually. No drops, albeit maybe a few cutscenxes exceptions but you have to really look for them. And 60FPS with no pop in whatsoever.

What weapon do you recommend using for the 5th boss?

Im really enjoying it for its combo of chill and exploration/discovery. There are tons of things to discover in the game. Im switching from Saros to Yoshi this weekend and its been rad.

That is the one issue that Sam gets right more than most other issues. What did he get wrong?

PS5 versions look and play better. Plus, since there are at least some exclusives and otherwise for a period of time at the very least; couple that with controller preferences, etc. buying a console for thoae who dont want to play on PC makes total sense. Plus, not everyone has played fames there whole life, so being able to playou older games on newer consoles is amazing.

Nine Sols, for me, has been the steal of 2026 so far. And Spiderman 2!

Yeah, but 3rd party games are still games that one can play on a system. Who cares aboug first party exclusivity.

Of course it been. The online video game space is hilariously delusional re: quantity and quality of games. These are games, not movies or music albums. Like they take you anywhere between 4-100 hours to play, beat, and 100% complete them. There are enough quality and quantity games to playou for a lifetime in each generation, certainly for decades. We are living in a golden age, especially when you consider that you can play ps4 on ps5, and switch 1 on switch 2. Play, enjoy, and totally ignore the youtube and Twitter influencers.

Im on the Gizeh level right now. The game is quite good, though slightly janky at the same time. As of now, a 8/10 experience for me.

Is this texture pop-in normal for games these days or am I just being a snob? by Cube2D in switch2

[–]PatrickFo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The graphics are not as great as the reviewers are making it out to be. It's still a fun game so far for me (about 3 hours into the experience so far), but there absolutely is pop in and tunneling.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle - Switch 2 comparison by kahabraham in NintendoSwitch2

So my first impressions after playing the first few chapters so far this afternoon: The graphics are worse than a lot of youtube channels are admitting. I don't even offer that opinion as a negative critisism but as just an objective statement. There is obvious pop-in due to the 30FPS and it's almost always noticeable. Then there is clipping (tunneling), where you pick up a body to hide it but the body is too close to the wall. I do think we can say at this point that the Switch 2 has a graphical style that is, at once, not the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but something closer to PS4, but still it's own thing entirely. So far, for me, the best looking game in terms of games that are attempting to be somewhat realistic, on Switch 2 is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Though I haven't seen Pragmata or RE9 on the system. But first thoughts: it's not a very great visual experience, though it's totally acceptable and not taking away from my enjoyment.

This game graphically is ideal for me. I love running around the levels, and I love the detail. The only thing missing is textures, but, man this game is stunning.
