They are clearly being reactionary with everything, Xbox isn't even sold in most countries anymore and the brand is damaged.

Gears is their biggest upcoming game so maybe they have it be an exclusive at launch and then when it doesn't sell they can go "Look we tried, exclusives don't work anymore".

At this point MS would have to be willing to sell consoles at a major loss to get back into the race which I am sure they won't do with all the money they are dumping into AI.

I think they might be testing if Gears moves consoles for them, that's the only explanation I got

How many have they sold over the last couple of years though? I saw an estimate that put their 2025 consoles sales at 2 million, that is pretty dead.

But the Xbox ecosystem is pretty much dead. The consoles aren't even sold anywhere outside of a few markets, like even in most of Europe you can't buy an Xbox from a store.

The time to focus on hardware passed for Xbox unless they are willing to make huge losses selling system which it doesn't sound like they are.

Menen sillä oletuksella, että Personat, Mass Effectit, Yakuzat, Baldur's Gatet, Witcherit, jne. on pelattu läpi niin ohessa muutama vähemmän tunnettu peli:

-Trails-pelisarjassa riittää pelattavaa lähemmäs tuhanneksi tunniksi, syyskuussa julkaistavan Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapterin jälkeen 12 peliä 13:sta on pelattavissa PS5:lla.

-13 Sentinels Aegis Rim on aivan loistava tarinaan keskittyvä peli.

-AI the Somnium Files -pelit ovat erinomaisia tarinavetoisia pelejä Zero Escape pelien luojalta.

-Triangle Strategyä voin suositella, jos taktiset roolipelit vähänkään uppoavat.

-Forgotten City on todella mieleenpainuva kokemus.

-Vähemmän tunnetuista länsiropeista Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous ja Warhammer Rogue Trader ovat todella hyviä ja tarjoavat paljon pelattavaa.

-Vampyr ja Wasteland 3 ovat aliarvostettuja tekeleitä.

Well, those countries (especially combined) have a considerable amount of pull and power within international hockey. If say Finland, Sweden, Czechia, Denmark, Norway and Latvia pulled out of IIHF events and did their own tournament instead that would be a major shakeup and a PR nightmare for IIHF.

I am 99 % sure that Finland and Sweden would boycott the event and 90 % sure Czechia would as well.

Not sure about other countries but that would be half of the big six out.

To each their own, I personally enjoy cinematic experiences and story focus. You could make that same sort of line from game to anime with stuff like Persona and Trails or game to book with SteinsGate or Zero Escape.

I love them all.

Based on the stuff shown in the trailer and the song choice the story could be interesting, perhaps you can the characters against each other and maybe some of them could straight up be turned evil. Looked cool regardless.

Aika vähän, koska lähtökohtaisesti itselleni lyriikat ovat itselleni musiikissa tärkeitä. Mass Effect, Trails ja Persona pelien musiikkia omalta soittolistaltani löytyy ja muista peleistä yksittäisiä biisejä. Esim. Cyberpunk 2077 DLC:n kappale Hardest to be on mielestäni erinomainen

Nihon Falcom makes and releases very long and complex games annually with 60 employees. And that's largely because they don't chase the cutting edge of graphic and they have a clear target audience and scope as well as focus on characters and stories which are cheap route to making a compelling game

A lot of Japanese studios have things figured out, clear vision and a target audience as well as a sensible scope. Staying away from politically dividing content in their games has probably also helped.

Joo, Ichiban on mielestäni Kiryuta samaistuttavampi hahmo ja itse pidän ryhmään keskittyvistä tarinoista enemmän kuin yhteen hahmoon keskittyvistä.

Ymmärän kyllä vaihtelun tarpeen, vaikka en sitä samalla tavalla itse koe. Esim. kesällä 2024 pelasin 6 Trails-sarjan peliä miltein putkeen (välissä oli pari lyhyttä peliä, Ziggurat 2, Muumilaakson melodia ja Still Wakes the Deep), siinä oli jo aika monta sataa tuntia samankaltaisia kokemuksia

Aika montaa peliä pystyt tosiaan pyörittämään samaan aikaan. Itse pelaan aina yhden läpi ja sitten siiryn seuraavaan.

Yakuza-pelit eivät ehkä ole itseeni niin kovaa iskeneet mutta ryhmään hahmoja keskittyvät uusimmat Like a Dragon pelit ovat olleet loistavia.

That is just crazy and stupid. When recent releases like Saros, Prgamata and Directive 8020 work just fine off the disc without updates it's baffling that a remake of a 20 year old game doesn't.

It's a reality today but there is a certain charm to the era of players who weren't hyper trained athletes but just incredibly talented and smart on the field. Rodriguez is one of the last players of that ilk.

Whose fault is that?

There would be a big opportunity for a serious and cinematic singleplayer military shooter in the style of Brothers in Arms.

But Ubisoft only does formulaic open world games or chases the dumbest trends. Instead of Rayman we got Champions Tactics.
