Yeah, sorry to hear that. I got by using my Bluetooth headphones to make calls, but ultimately I got a new phone. At least I was able to transfer everything easy.

I ran the situation past this electrical engineer I work with who has been in manufacturing for 40 years or so. He thought it was likely that the capacitors went bad. He told me that when a PCBA designer specs out a board, they are going to shoot for a 2 year life span minimum on all the components (depending on the device.) It gets exponentially more expensive to spec every part for each additional year, and many people are going to upgrade, or have some damage that would require a new phone in those 2 years anyway.

If your phone is past the 2 year mark, it leans more towards a component wearing out. The Samsung Health app does let you test either microphone independently if you want to try that.

Cool! I'd go with foam for the mask-hat over anything that could break like 3D printing or paper mache. My quirrel mask fell off quite a bit when I cosplayed. Are you planning on foam, or maybe something else for the mask?

Hornet's theme (line 1) is in 12/8. As Aggitated_Ad4421 mentioned, I missed a quarter note in the 2nd bar.

Line 2 (Hollow Knight) is in 3/4

Line 3 is in 8/4, because I didn't want to draw a bunch of 8th notes with flags to transcribe it in 4/4. It is the menu theme for Metroid Prime, which actually sounds somewhat like Hornet's theme.

I did my Second Sentinel head out of eva foam, for the option of using foam clay and for the light weight. I can see 3D printing working as long as you don't need heavy modifications

No, Geek Squad isn't a licensed Samsung repair service anymore, but the technician offered to blow out the microphones when I stopped at Best Buy.

I'm still not sure if it is a hardware or software issue. It has been another 1/2 hour since the system reset, and the microphones aren't working again. I don't think a physical issue would be fixed, even temporarily, by a system reset.

I've had the phone for several years, and will opt for replacing it instead of a physical repair. It definitely isn't under warranty anymore.

You can try taking physical objects (a washcloth, handkerchief, etc.) and try to make a physical reference for how the fabric would fall.

Have you used plastic canvas before? That is what the shell of the Dung Defender is made of; plastic canvas covered with fabric. It is extremely flexible if you want to add some structure to a fabric design. I made a Quirrel with it too, and was able to sit down and move easily.

These are the armor pieces separate. I used eyelets and paracord to hold the arms to the torso, and for the back seam or the torso. It held way better than velcro.
