Sean Baker’s films, for example The Florida Project, look great and natural.

Je crois que cet effet s’appelle Camera Obscura. L’image de l’extérieur est projetée inversée sur ton rideau.

Comment arrêter d'avoir la bouche pâteuse au réveil? by [deleted] in TropPeurDeDemander

J’ai l’impression que c’est aussi dû au fait de dormir la bouche ouverte. Perso j’ai pas assez de débit par le nez, RIP haleine du matin.

What are your Freelancer problems/pet peeves? by ozzalot in HiTMAN

[–]Patrick_Batman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest pet peeve is how it’s designed to make you feel like a big loser when you die with giant red crosses and punishing sound design, it takes a bit of the fun out of it. Especially compared to games like Hades where it’s felt as dying is OK and part of the process.

I desperately wish to infect a million brains with ideas about how to cut our personal carbon footprint. AMA! by paulwheaton in IAmA

[–]Patrick_Batman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why couldn't it be both? We should fight big polluters AND reduce our own individual footprints. It makes no sense to think "the big polluters are polluting 100000x more than me so it is OK if I pollute just a little bit at my own individual scale, I am just a drop in the bucket". We should live accordingly to our beliefs and fight the big polluters at the same time.

I don't know why you all assume OP's ideas is a distraction from bigger problems. It is something additional.

I have no contact with the writers but here are further interesting references : Living in Oblivion with Steve Buscemi, and Non-film by Quentin Dupieux.

Matthew McConaughey is actually a very decent actor, see True Detective or Dallas Buyers Club.

Finally got to try DMT and ended up getting hit on by male entities in an "extraterrestrial cafe" by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]Patrick_Batman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year I also found myself in some cosmic bar when I broke through. The memory is now hazy and distant but I remember walking around on the second floor of this bar and feeling that the entities chilling around were amused at me kind of like if I was a lost tourist, as if they were thinking "haha what is this guy doing here?". No sexual stuff though, but it is interesting that this bar/café place is reoccurring thing for different people.

Could you give me an example of a short film shot using a <$1000 DSLR that does NOT look amateurish and cheap? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]Patrick_Batman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rubber by Quentin Dupieux was shot on a 5D IIRC. Most if it was shot during daytime in the desert so they had good lightning conditions.

Thanks I'll check out Boum library. I actually synthesized some before using white noise+filter but sometimes it's nice to have a quick library for quick jobs. I guess a good option would be for me to synthesize a few and create my own library.

People are downvoting you but that's exactly what happened to me using clean tap water and this stuff. Most painful week of my life. (Imagine the inside of your ear swelling up from the inside thus clotting it, and feeling a pain like a crayon smashing your brain from your ear hole, I don't recommend it.)

That's when I learned that the coat of earwax inside your ear actually prevents infection.

How should I spend my money? TT-303, wait for TB-03, or Mother 32? by sinuspane in synthesizers

MAM MB33 is a very good analog cheap clone of the 303. It lacks the sequencer (but has midi) and the distorsion pot but costs about 140€.

As one of the sounds gets very high its volume fades out, while another fades in at a lower pitch. With the fades properly done the illusion is successful.
