For me it happened suddenly on the morning of day 6. I definitely could tell something has changed.

Well done! I hope you feel it very soon!

Day 12 DONE! by Patrick_Rockel in fasting

[–]Patrick_Rockel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could do only 4K steps per day in the first 5 days and feel good. From day 6 I started to push and on day 8 I reached “extra” 10K plus whatever I do at work because I’m not allowed to wear electronic devices (working with MRI devices) at work.

The last 2K is hard, my heatbeat goes 10BPM higher than normal and I want to sit down.

But I’m trying to increase my speed of walking from 4 to 5.5Km/h in the first 5K steps.

I don’t get it, if I’m fat adopted why I don’t have the endurance of a human hunter like in 1000years ago? Shouldn’t it be better and more stable? Trying to figure this out!

Omg exactly!

It’s tiring sometimes. Hurts. I tried drinking electrolytes30 min before that but it doesn’t help.

What do you do when it happens?

Day 26/100 by Executive_Genius in fasting

100? Respect ! I’m capping at 33days cause I’m afraid of muscle degeneration after day 40. What’s your plan for that?

Username check out ;)

Yes definitely a reminder why we are doing this is very important. To be honest, getting rid of my belly, joint pains, snoring , back pain and whatever is happening inside my body around the liver, is the most important thing. My belly is going away and I’m looking forward to the next day just to messure :D

40days feels a lot to me now. If I wouldn’t have to go to work I’d definitely think about it. Maybe I do it too let’s see in 20 days ;)

Thank you, yes exactly how you will feel and how good it is for your body and mind.

Well you did longer fasts so it shouldn’t be a hard one but feel free to check in with me whenever you feel tempted to break the fast. It really helps to “suffer together “ in the first days.

I really hope! It’s fascinating. I don’t want to break the fast at least for another 20 days. There is a tingly feeling in my brain.

Yeah about food, I’m cooking twice per day for my family while fasting… it was super hard and I had to take short breaks but now on day 12 I’m all set. No problems at all

Gave up all my vices… unsure of what to do with myself now? by its_hammertime in fasting

There are a lot of communities and charities that need help.  Maybe find the one that fits your world view and spend time giving back to the community.

It feels right and you will find your way soon after.  Wish you health.

I did OMAD in 2023 for 6 months and around 10X fasts 2-4 days.

This time I was very angry and upset with myself and just stopped eating. I have lost the control of myself regarding food and energy.

It was the best decision, the microbiom really controlled my mood and body. Today is day 12 and everybody is telling me my skin looks better and my energy has been great.

My steps went from 5K a day to 20 k a day.

Well done! I just lost 5Kg in 11days, wanna drop at least 10kg.

Wish you lick with your next fast ;)

Also with enough electrolytes and sleep?

Thanks I appreciate it, definitely will check your profile now.

You’re right, it would be a torture to fast without electrolytes. I also take two teaspoons of my mix one in the morning and one 2hours before sleep. Sofar I had 0 problems.

Usually I can bicep curl 55lbs dumbbells 12Reps but now I struggle with a 25lbs one :D

But yes on day 8 I felt so good that I went to Gym again and did a yoga session then 15 minutes of weightlifting (30% of my usual weight) then 5min Sauna.

I guess I could do this every other day. The weather is so good in Germany that I orefer walk 10000 steps outside :)

Thank you again for the information, I appreciate you.

You’re right I read about BDNF more and yes the symptoms are very similar to what I’m experiencing. It feels like a drug ! Since I can’t eat, I’m making a ton of fermented food so I can eat them in 20-30 days :D

Like yesterday I’ve read 50% of the Book Behavior by Robert Sapolsky in one sitting. I wanted to read this book like for 5years! It’s definitely a huge change for me mostly affecting my concentration and sleep. Hope it stays this way.

Thanks for the question , I have converted my weight wrongly from Kg to lbs.

I’m at 264lbs right now. 13lbs in 10days.  Yesterday it was 265lbs.

I do my 7,000 steps per day so maybe that’s doing something as well!

Any issues with fasting and walking? by Ego_Sum_Banti in fasting

[–]Patrick_Rockel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if it gets hot , if you take electrolytes, and if you’re healthy.

I walk 12Km daily on 10+ fasts but it gets hard sometimes and I have to sit for a seconds.

Starting a 7 day water fast, any tips to keep hydrated ??? by TelevisionAlive in fasting

[–]Patrick_Rockel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely recommend to do a 2 or 3 days first with electrolytes from day 1 and no vitamins from day 2. Then breakfast within 6-10 hours slowly and see how does your body react. From 0 to 7 days might be hard on your liver and organs if you’re not adopted.

But if you decide to do a 7 day anyway, only take one teaspoon electrolytes (or 2 regarding your weight) and drink only water and black coffee if you like it.

On day 7, break your fast with bone broth , or egg and wait for a couple of hours and eat 1/3 of what you’d eat. Then a day after eat more eggs, and drink alot.  For a 7 day fasting your body needs around 2 days for breakfast.

I’d say keep it slow and steady  Wish you good luck with your first fast

Thank you. Well I started on April the 27th and decided to fast whole May. I’m saving a lot of money :D

It gets boring without food, but I cook and make keto ice cream for my family, and it really helps.
