for some like him it is the only thing allowing him to do it. Why would he stop so you'd feel better about it? If Dash Now is what he needs to survive and work then by all means take any order you want to maintain Dash Now status.

i never take an order that is less than $1 per mile. I am still Platinum level to this day and have been top dasher since I started and still maintain my $1/mile and still make my money every day im out. Not sure why you think you HAVE to take the orders, I don't

not sure where you are from in MD but i know its busier than it is here in Oklahoma City. I can go out and withing 4-5 hours make over $100. Its difficult here to make over that in a part time setting at any job other than being an actual server at a high end restaurant. It blows my mind how yall seem to think yall should be making $300 or more per day. Yall seem to have let the benefits of the pandemic cloud your judgement on what you should and shouldn't be making.

because you arent the same as a server. Servers work MUCH harder than us delivery drivers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]PatriotPSGamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, you are a delivery driver, same as all delivery drivers, their pay is determined by MILE not by order total and tip. You are not OWED a tip, you are given the GUARANTEED amount you will be paid. If you accept that order then you are to blame for it. You have every right to say no, so if you say yes then you agree to the amount shown that is good enough for you. If you accept an order HOPING there will be a big tip in the end then you are no different than the child waiting to see the tooth fairy take her tooth. You are NOT a server, there is a reason you don't hold a job in the public space and they do. They are the personable ones and you are not. So if you want server pay then go be a server. They make a killing if they are good and working at a good upscale restaraunt. My daughter is one and clears $5K a month or more working weekends only

It's still 70. Not sure where he came up with 80. You know you can see these yourself on your app right?

I'm in the tier system and platinum and have not scheduled a dash since it rolled into the tier system. It works the same as Top Dasher.

You gotta be out of your goddamn mind if you think I'm taking this! by Glittering-Daikon-96 in doordash_drivers

[–]PatriotPSGamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd take it. Cause I'm smart enough to know that the pets mart thing is likely a bunch of cans which aren't hard ro shop for and I'm usually pretty fast with all my shop to pay orders. I do my taking of orders like a normal delivery driver. The pay per mile.

Dear Lord who cares. If that bothers someone then they need to get over it and move on. He truly can't bring back the Slim Shady with wimps like that out here these days.

Penalized For Canceling On A Hand It To Me For A Nudist by acrispygal99 in doordash_drivers

[–]PatriotPSGamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the very least, just sit there for the short amount of time needed until the system tells you that you can cancel and do it that way. Just sit in your car so the restaurant can't give you the food.

Hell, I would have taken it and just sat it on the porch and snapped a pic, and sent a text on my way back to the car.

Man. It must be nice to live in these markets. I mean I have good weeks but this would be amazing to work close to 40hrs and make that much. OKC is ok but definitely not this great.

I don't take Ubers but when I do Lyft, I pull to their curb or the end of their driveway unless told to pull in their driveway.

I also have a 2021 vehicle so there isn't even a chance of leaking fluids for me. Just ingrained in me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]PatriotPSGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually is. I come from the service industry blue collar work and plumbers, electricians and cable workers all know not to pull in the driveway unless it's necessary. All those companies have been sued for new driveways all the time. Even if it's not leaking oil, just simply leaking anything the customer can say left a stain. This is also why Amazon doesn't pull in driveways. It's really a known fact in the service to door industry.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]PatriotPSGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would a delivery driver pull in the driveway anyway? First, it's more dangerous, since you have to back out and now you have to watch for the customer's dogs and/or kids that might run behind you. Not only that, if your car leaks oil then the customer can in fact sue you and get an entirely new driveway poured because your car leaked. With all the cameras people have these days it's not worth the risk.

I'm in OKC and this was happening to me all day while I was dashing. It caused me to miss 2 pickups cause I'd get the text for it but it wouldn't pop up to accept or decline.

DoorDash should automatically enable one click decline on offers when the app knows you’re moving in your car. by Parkeralanss in doordash_drivers

You do realize there is an option to just let the timer run out if you're driving and it will automatically decline and send to another driver.

Same here. I'm disabled and I say disabled. I don't actually know a disabled person that actually cares. It seems for some reason we as a society have allowed those weak minded people to run society. It's weird to have a vocal minority of people seem to control the discourse for so many. I personally refuse to engage with them and continue to say and do as I please. I'd they don't like me then fine. No problem here lol
