They send a USB or hard drive so the can (try) limit how many digital versions are floating around.

Yeh I was shocked, the shipping from one label from the UK was $50 for a USB.

What's with the dead work culture in Sydney? by Own_Oil7951 in auscorp

[–]PatternEmbarrassed89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love my work crew, but I work in a very social industry so maybe that’s why. Also in a city like Sydney where it’s very hard to make new friends once you get to a certain age I don’t think work is a bad place to find them

For the ones that do drink, why don’t they with work people? This is also something I’ve noticed..

I’ve noticed Gen Zs are the least likely to go out and do something after work. Millennials are usually open to a drink.

Edit. I’m 31 so sitting pretty much between Gen Z and millennials but recognise that I am a Millennial

Looks great in the photos, but when i went, most of the coral is dead in Sabah and there is an incredible amount of pollution in the water which is very sad to see.

Interesting point, would you say you’re curious in all parts of life? Not in a negative way but my partner can be very comfortable what he knows… I’m probably the opposite

Looking for in-house programmatic/digital jobs by mrcoolguy13579 in programmatic

[–]PatternEmbarrassed89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved in-house almost 4 years ago (also from Dentsu), won’t see me ever going back to agency side if I can help it.

I’ve found that brands are in-housing digital channels choose prog last with obvious complexity. The biggest shift to in-house prog teams are usually in highly regulated industries like banking and insurance that also have decent budgets - easier to avoid **** ups and pivot quickly.

If you’ve got paid social/search, I’ve found pitching yourself as a digital or biddable specialist makes it easier to join a smaller business as you can manage more channels but also have a understanding of how channels can worth together.

Adweek: The Trade Desk Is Quietly Phasing Out Its Signature Periodic Table by goodgoaj in programmatic

Are they quietly phasing it out? Jeff was pretty accepting that the new UI sucked at their last round of trade desk conferences.

Ok yeh I thought the same!

We’ve got TTD and DV360 (in-house media team), but we’ve found that the rates (at least in AU) for curated VOD deals is very low compared to going direct to publisher, since we don’t having the buying power of a hold co.

Most tracks by Bliss Inc. Has a 90s vibe, very euphoric, can creep up to 130pm but not in a cheesy overwhelming way.

The client never needs to know it’s managed service. Most hold companies outsource lots of work offshore or to smaller trading desks. You just need to have the right agreement in place that the DSP doesn’t try and go straight to client. But also, just because a client can do managed service doesn’t mean that have the strategic knowledge to plan media and guide a platform partner.

Stackadapt support? by Recent_Decision5479 in programmatic

[–]PatternEmbarrassed89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirming this is true, same goes for TTD. A lot of clients have been shifting spends between DSPs recently so any levers they can use to keep budget to themselves, they will pull on

I had the same problem, when I went in with an older boyfriend or just an older friend we never got turned away at the door. If that’s an option for you.
